Cool, thanks for doing this. Not sure if you want to add Rogue or not, but she was the first to be featured. I can't remember the date it started, but there was no new release essential, just three classic essentials: Professor X, Cyclops, and X-Force Wolverine.

Not a problem. Thanks for the heads up on Rogue. For some reason I thought Crawler was first. OP has been updated!

Yeah, I was one of those slightly perturbed at their choice of classic characters, because my Professor X at the time didn't have 10 covers, so I couldn't get him to Level 209 for the free Rogue cover. Well, less annoyed at the character choice, because it was very thematic, but more annoyed with the Level 209 lockout kept me from even trying for the Rogue cover.

Updated. I also added a list of characters in release order in the OP, as well as the Shield Training they were featured in. Gives an idea of what we can expect going forward. For me it looks like Mr. F is the only one I need to invest iso in in the near future. Then I’m good until Ghost Rider.

I had predicted Mr. F and Jean would be next based on the oldest who haven’t been featured. Interesting they jumped all the way up to Ghost Rider for the third. Guess I’ll be investing iso in him next!

Since they already had Jean featured and Cyclops was unavailable, I am rather happy they skipped all the other Purple/green skilled fourstars Before Ghost rider. With Iceman, Rulk or X-23 featured it would be a lot of color overlap.

Thanks for the heads up on this.  I may need to change my 4* champing priorities.  I've got a number of upcoming classics I haven't champed because they're classics and not all that great, of the upcoming list:

    Iceman (All New X-Men)
    Red Hulk (Thunderbolt Ross)
    X-23 (All New Wolverine)
The Hulk (Totally Awesome) - At 13 not champed
Miles Morales (Spider-Man) - At 13 not champed (still L70)
Venom (Eddie Brock) - At 13 not champed
    Nova (Sam Alexander)
    Spider-Gwen (Gwen Stacy) - At 12 (still 70)

Looks like at least need to work on getting those 4 to 209 in the near future.  So much ISO need at so many different levels, I'm gonna explode...

If it's any consolation, level 209 is just at the beginning of the steep uphill climb of the ISO cost. So it could be a lot worse even if I get the dislike of leveling unused characters...

So my guess is due to the overwhelming amount of positive feedback last Training, that the newest release essential is being replaced with the character they are set to replace in the Latest Legends rotation. We will have to see next training if in fact, it is Mockingbird and two Classics.

If this is the case then it gives people plenty of time to cover the Latest essential while still rewarding long time players with the 2 Classic characters requirement. Well done.

Updated! It looks like I was right about Mockingbird being next up (such an intuitive cookie!). So if the pattern holds, Yondu is next.

Also, Hulk and Iceman had the highest likelihood of being the next classics as well using the “one of the oldest yet to be featured” rule. So, cool to see that come true as well.  Happy I was able to provide some insight into both patterns as I think it helps us plan for the future.

My Yondu is champed, but both Venom (second oldest not to be featured) and Quake (fifth oldest) need some iso invested in them! After that hurdle everyone else is champed and I’ll no longer need to worry about it. Training will just be guaranteed extra covers!

Nova (Level 172), Venom (115), and Professor X (111) are my only classic 4*s not at 209. Since Charles was featured in the inaugural event, I should just need to focus on Nova and Venom, which I think will be achievable, especially since I anticipate we'll get a 5* in two weeks ahead of Infinity War, then two more weeks before the next 4* and SHIELD Training event.

I built up around 370k iso hoarding until the new feature reveal (which I’m severely underwhelmed with). While I probably should have used it to Champ my dupe 3s, I instead brought Eddie, Quake and Howard up to 209. I know Howard won’t ever be in SHIELD  Training, but I just wanted all my unchamped max-covered 4s even. And I’m champing him next time Webbed Wonder runs anyway.

Now left with 15k iso total but I’m set forever as far as classic 4s in SHIELD training go.

Yeah, I plan to do something similar, once I have less pressing needs for my ISO in other areas.

Oops.  Got confused between it being the hero leaving latest, and the *next* hero leaving latest.

Not terribly surprised it's Venom, though it would have been nice if it were Miles or Nova. Miles is already champed and Nova is at least at 172. Eddie is languishing at 115, so will need to pump more ISO into him than I would have had to for Sam.

Spider-Woman seems to be kind of out of left field though.

Updated!  Also marked in the timeline when they switched from the newest released character being required to the one set to leave Latests for when historians look back at the history of this great event.
