Questions about Facebook backup functionality

I have my account linked to Facebook, and it works fine for me (most of the time).
My son has seen how much I enjoy the game and has started playing on my old iPhone. He's not old enough to have a Facebook account yet. If I upgrade him to a new iPhone, how can he take his account with him? 
Can I unlink my account from Facebook, and link his long enough to migrate the new phone? Will this cause me more problems than it is worth? 
I know I can create a dummy account on Facebook, but would rather not open that can of worms just yet.

    I believe you can also backup via Google account if that's an option.

    Since even before all the FB news came out, I dropped FB and am hoping that d3/demi find better ways to do their social integrations. We'll see what shakes out.

    No google backup on iPhone.

    Is it not possible to just copy the MPQ files off the old iPhone and onto the new one?

    That's relatively straightforward on an Android phone if you don't go the facebook/google route.
