Does mpq no longer work on windows xp?

With the current update my game won't play on steam. Did some digging and it sounds like this game no longer supports windows xp. Anyway we could get a confirmation.

  I know they dropped support for XP a patch or two ago.  Meaning if it is broke, they aren't going to fix it.  Sorry man.

  I can confirm that the minimum OS required to play Marvel Puzzle Quest is currently Windows 7, and that Windows XP is no longer supported.
