No they won't.  They only copy for same character so if you ended with 8/7/0 DD they'd trade any 3 covers to get you to 3 in the last slot.  But with 8/7/3 you have 13 and they won't trade anything.  You're best bet is champ him and apply champ covers.  If that's no doable (it should be for most as long as you spend ISO on nothing else) start a 3/2/0 dup.  Worst option is selling, but it's there.
