Just faced Bolas and two cards I was using Censor and Countervailing Winds did nothing. He had a card with full mana and i used both multiple times to make sure I did not miss anything. His mana never drained. Not sure if it is a bug or it is intended.
Disregard it was explained to me due to Undying Fury.
