No events at all?

Yesterday I got nothing be "something went wrong" errors whenever I tried to join an event and now it says "No events are active at the moment. Please come back later"

Is this a problem on my end or is this part of the new card rollout?

If the problem is on my end what steps should I take to solve it?  My internet connection is good so I should be able to uninstall and reinstall if that's what is needed. I just didn't want to do that if this was just part of an update.
