Surprising "Return on Investment" for AKH booster in

So I finished the personal achievement ribbons in Trial of Zeal just now and opened the one AKH booster pack expecting the usual duplicates...

First card: Loyal Retainers (A Masterpiece?  :o Are you kidding me? Yes, this is my first ever.. :) )
Second card: Bitterblade Warrior (okay, that's gonna be the rest of the pack, because, damn. Masterpiece..)
Third Card: Liliana's Mastery (Duplicate, but stll a Rare in the same pack (and yes I'm hoarding duplicates like a fiend ever since even before Brigby said we should be...)
Fourth Card: Aven Wind Guide (well, that was still great, A Masterpiece AND a Rare..)
Fifth Card: Manglehorn...

The funny thing is I've had several "good" pack openings for that last ToZ pack but this was just crazy and I thought I would post it because I know there's other people out there who haven't yet gotten a Masterpiece (even, like me, with using the Jewels) that, "there IS a Santa Claus" so don't give up hope.

    Definitely rigged. I'm tired of defending these obvious "outliers" and succumbing to my lizard brain.

    Not quite sure how that was rigged, but if they can rig it like that at the end of every ToZ, I'm game.. ;)

    Ohboy is taking a jab at the other players who open a Premium Pack or 2 and complain about drop rates being rigged when they get only the guaranteed Rare or no Mythics.

    Congrats to your first Masterpiece. Still waiting to pull one myself.

    On a sidenote: I finished ToZ too and in my booster I got a Mythic as well (cruel reality). Coincidence?

    Congrats! Got my own first masterpiece this week from a random booster: Wrath of god! :) 

    This game really needs a pity timer, like heartstone, though...

     congrats! I got my first masterpiece about a week ago; Vindicate. It's a great feeling.  Loyal retainers is a great and very versatile card. You're going to have a blast testing that out

    @span_argoman - Ahh, okay, now I understand.. I keep missing those outlying whines..er.. conversations..

    @Stormbringer0 - Honestly I have no idea, but maybe it's just us. I always seem to get something nice or at least decent from the ToZ AKH Booster pack. Of course every other 5-card pack I get from other things is just "meh".. But like I said, either way I'm not complaining. :smile:

    And thanks, all, for the congrats. I've been using cycling decks for a while, now, with Dovin, Nissa2 and Kiran, so Nahiri and other W/* might start getting some play, again, too.I mean, I GOTTA play with my masterpiece, right? :wink:

    The God-Pharaoh smiles on you! Congrats on the masterpiece and the solid lot of cards!

    I scored a Mox Opal in a daily booster the other day and have been enjoying it ever since. Every time I draw it and cast it I feel like a bad-****. Hope you feel the same way about your Retainers!

    Yeah!!! I'm with you. Someone pulled a masterpiece.
    Darn those guys who ran statistical analysis on thousands of card drops to mathematically define abysmal drop rates over a huge sample size.
    Total fake news men.

    Oh darn I'm missing the flat earth convention on fox news. Gotta run.

    Just  because D3 paid me X dollars every time I drew a post about getting good cards is no reason to suspect anything of a conspiratorial nature. I'll just be going back to my vault and counting my bitcoins while Ivanka tells me how impressed she is by my hair...

    Just remember that they let you do anything, as long as you open masterpieces. Not that you would want to xD
