Can we please see the graveyard now?

Looking at the HOU cards there are a ton of effects that care about what is in the graveyard. Can we please get a way to see what is in there? And no you can't just remember because there are mill effects that put things in there without being shown. Either give us a method to view the graveyard or stop making effects that care about what is in there.

Search the graveyard would be awesome too.1

I really don't see how they can design so many cards that count stuff in the graveyard without adding the ability to look at it. We've asked for this months ago.3

Good brain exercise to remember all the cards in your graveyard and the order in which they entered it.2

Don't forget you also need to have awareness of what has been exiled while playing certain PWs like G3.
Anyway, /signed the letter from the OP. We really need to be able to see our graveyard or at a minimum how many cards are in it and the card type.

I agree with @nexus13 that we're long past time where we should be able to see the graveyard. Being able to see exile is also needed with the increase in exiling.

Agreed. It'd be nice to have it in list form rather than having to scroll through a bunch of images, though.

Hi Everyone. I've passed along the question of "Will we be able to view graveyard or exiled cards in the future?" to the developers. I will update everyone when I hear back from them.2

Wasnt the answer a straight up "forget it" last time?

Anyway this should have been there since the beginning and it seems silly that during innistrad it was not possible to know which cards were in the graveyard. Not all effects let you know which cards went into the GY, making the entire "just remember it" argument pointless, especially regarding the opponent GY, which is open info in normal MTG.
If you want to make cards that care about number of deserts in the GY, or number of cycle cards in the GY, we should at least be given a clue about which number would be X. Even just going "gain X (6) +1/+0 for each creature in the graveyard...", would go a long way towards clarifying things.0 -

Salty me wants to ask you "What's the difference, we probably don't get an answer anyway"..but nice me needs to say: "Noooo! Please bring it up!" and still hopes to get feedback/input from official site from time to time.Brigby said:Although if you'd prefer, I could just refrain from asking them
It could be accessible via the menu, just like the battle log and would actually be a great help: most of my decks have a graveyard focus.

@Brigby you seem to have a tough (Or at least stressful/ thankless) job. I wish you luck in communicating all of the communities desires with the programmers. I can't help but wonder how much time you dedicate to answering people on this forum, and how difficult it is to relay questions to programmers, receive a response, then craft a message to boost morale (terrible puns are a specialty of mine).0

@Brigby thank you for looking into it. We really do appreciate you trying to bridge the gap between the devs & players.
It would be super awesome to see the graveyard. Insidious Will would be so much more fun/satisfying/pleasurable if I knew what card the AI lost!1 -
I would assume both the graveyard and the exile are highly relevant zones since there are abilities and cards that directly interact with them and it would be a great addition actually to see cards from both of them. Also if the order is relevant (such as for Gideon3's ultimate or Liliana1's ultimate) it is important to mention that ordering should also be included.

Thanks for the kind words. It can be challenging at times, but it's an absolutely rewarding feeling when I get the opportunity to see players enjoying the game after a highly demanded feature can be implemented, or even when an annoying bug is fixed. Feels good to helpSarahschmara said:Brigby thank you for looking into it. We really do appreciate you trying to bridge the gap between the devs & players.

When it comes to the graveyard/exile feature, I'm not sure how challenging it would be to program and implement a feature such as that, but I have already passed the sentiment along to them. I'm not sure when they can evaluate it though, considering infrastructure stability and Booster Crafting are their main priorities right now, but when there is an update on it, I will be sure to inform everyone with any communicable news.1 -
It appears that the dev's honestly could care less, they create cards that are intentionally sent to the graveyard to be used but create no way of seeing what they are. Thats just the definition of not caring what you put on a card. Saying that it's not a priority isn't a surprise. They have shown a decided lack of fixing errors they create themselves.
It's not rocket science to know that you WOULD WANT TO LOOK AT THE GRAVEYARD. if you are going to USE the graveyard.

Technically you can already see the graveyard by reading the logs.
Nobody does that though.0 -
That's a really useful idea, I hadn't thought about using the battlelog that way. But it still wouldn't show me which card was nullified by insidious will (or various other card dumping means), would it?Ohboy said:Technically you can already see the graveyard by reading the logs.

I completely understand and support infrastructure stability. Keeping maintainability at a good level so as to minimize the risk of those nasty situations of "oopsie I changed something here and then everything exploded". *thumbs up* to the dev team for spending time refactoring0

The new cards make the lack of the graveyard worse than before. There are so many cards that count on the graveyard and it hurts the ability to know when to play them. I'm not a programmer, but the game must keep track of the graveyard anyway, so can it be so hard to pass some of that information on to the player?

It shouldn't be harder than showing the battle log really.0
