Question about how tiles function (and a rule reference-guide request)

Hey all, is there a place you can point me to that explains exactly how the different tiles function? Basic info, for sure, but I'm not able to find it and some of it I've never really known.

For example: how exactly do strike tiles operate? Attack tiles? Why are strike tiles better than attack tiles? On the surface, it seems like they're essentially the same thing but I don't think that's true.

More generally, is there a compendium of basic "Rules of the Game" somewhere...?
