What is Deadpool doing in the opponent's team?

The event is titled Deadpool vs MPQ. But in the node Logan's Heroes, we find Pool playing TU to the opponent's team. Like... what?

I know that story and gameplay are disconnected from each other in MPQ, but this is way out of line.

I also noticed that Magneto is playing TU to the opponent's team in ISO Brotherhood.

C'mon, Devs. You can do better than this.
