To buy or not to buy a 5* cover with 720cp?

When it's come to cp, I always use 20cp to buy a classic LT. However, I'm thinking to save up my cp for 5* covers now. I have a 5/1/5 Phoenix. So I have 1% chance to get the purple cover I need if I buy a classic LT. Statistically I think I should buy the cover with 720cp, but that's really expensive and on top of that I'm slowing down in my other 5* progress (I have eight champed good 4* and my other 5* only have several covers). What to do? Anyone spent 720cp on a cover?

    I'm planning to spend 720 CP on a Purple cover for my 5/2/5 Phoenix when I have the ISO to max and champ her. I don't know if I'd bother if I needed two covers though - 1440 CP is a lot to save up.

    I agree with quebbster. I'd consider it for 1 if it was #13 on a top tier 5* (oml, phx, gg, 5tark).

    Thanks for your opinions. Now that Black Bolt is here. My chance to get Phx purple is lowered again. Sigh.

    That's pretty much why I decided to buy the thirteenth cover. I just got my thirteenth OML cover, so the chances of getting anything worthwhile from Classic legends is slim - OML covers are only usable to respec him (at least until I champ him), I have no use whatsoever for Phoenix red and green covers, and Surfer, Spider-man, Goblin and now Steve Rogers dont have enough covers yet for one more to make any difference. So I'll buy one Phoenix cover, get her and OML to max together and then the ratio for usable covers in Classic Legends skyrockets.

    I saved up to 720 because I had 12 oml covers and one power at 5. I only pulled once I was at 740 and saved the 720 in case I got the wrong color and didn't want to waste it.

    Got lucky and got the power I needed, and then went on a 36 cover spending pull spree ( which actually netted me two more oml to champion him)
