Elf lord bug (dwynin)?

Can't remember the spelling and don't feel like minimizing on my phone, but bizarre corner case bug.

Opponent used exert influence on my dwynin. Then I hit the activation of the Lord ability next turn, and it still gave my creature the buff even though they controlled dwynin.

    I think that's the same for all activate tiles.
    I took an opponent's Honored Hierarch with Excert Influence and the active gems still gave him mana.
