Hexproof and Fleshbag Marauder

I notice that Fleshbag Marauder doesn't work on hexproof creatures. But Fleshbag is an untargetted ability... so how exactly does hexproof work?

It is not consistent in many ways
Claustrophobia also does not work.
But I had it affect a second creature summoned after the Sphinx... Think in that case the creature entered without hexproof, got disabled and after got hexproof from the Sphinx (the hexproof icon was on creature).
But then it should have not worked at all for two reasons:
- if hexproof happens after it should set the creature free
- clausteophobia works on the first creature, it was the second one.
Hexproof has strange behaviour for sure but many things to be honest work not as one would expect.
