How Did You Beat the New Heroic Challenges?

I'd be interested to see decklists / strategies which people used to defeat the new Heroic Challenges.

I thought they were all insurmountable, but then I remembered that The Great Aurora is now 15 mana.

On my phone, I've defeated Gideon (levels 1-4) with:

Nissa (Level 50)

Animist's Awakening
Battlefield Forge
Conclave Naturalists
Dwynen's Elite
Honored Hierarch
Mage-Ring Network
Nissa's Pilgrimage
Rhox Maulers
Skysnare Spider
The Great Aurora

On my iPad, I defeated one level of Gideon with Jace, Day's Undoing, Talent of the Telepath, Turn to Frog, and a bunch of bounce spells. But I don't have the exact deck list.

I beat level 5 Gideon using the same list as above.

I beat level 1 Jace using Nissa (Level 50) with:

    Aerial Volley
    Animist's Awakening
    Brawler's Plate
    Dwynen's Elite
    Honored Hierarch
    Nissa's Pilgrimage
    Ramroller
    Rhox Maulers
    Skysnare Spider
    The Great Aurora

I got through various challenges with a Chandra build:

    Chandra (Level 50)

    Chandra's Fury
    Embermaw Hellion
    Exquisite Firecraft
    Fiery Impulse
    Ghirapur Aether Grid
    Iroas' Champion
    Lightning Javelin
    Skyraker Giant
    Smash to Smithereens
    Volcanic Rambler

With the new ability to discard, it makes sense to run as much removal as possible and pitch it when it's not needed. There are only 4 creatures in this deck, and they all have some ability to affect the game state. 3 of them do damage directly to creatures. Embermaw Hellion also adds additional damage. Volcanic Rambler wipes out gems, sometimes destroying enemy supports or gaining mana / loyalty counters in the process.

I will note that a functional change has been made to Chandra's Fury. It will not work unless the opponent has at least 1 creature on board. Previously, you could fire it off to do 4 damage to the opponent, even with an empty board.

It isn't the best spell, but it can sometimes come in handy, and I don't have any other removal at this time.

This Gideon build beat some Chandra challenges:

    Anointer of Champions
    Archangel of Tithes
    Consul's Lieutenant
    Enlightened Ascetic
    Enshrouding Mist
    Iroas's Champion
    Murder Investigation
    Vryn Wingmare
    War Oracle
    Yavimaya Coast
  • I've beaten all of Chandra and all of Liliana using lvl 50 Nissa and various elf combos and reach cards
  • For every single challenge I played great aurora and then proceeded to roll them with nissa lol.

Except for the hangarback walker, that one I played gideon and waited till I had enough to buff consul.
