Default character decided by covers, not level?

Playing in the Close Air Support tournament, I much prefer to play with the 1/1/1 loaner Sam Wilson instead of my own 1/0/1, even though the latter has a very slight level advantage. Would it be possible for the game to decide the default character by the number of covers instead of level, so a character with more covers get priority over a higher leveled character?

    Just remember to click over to the loaner before the match, easy enough.. and the loaner never needs a health pack.

    I find it odd/annoying that I have a 1 cover at lvl 70 which it defaults to over the loaner. Does not make sense and yes I switch it, but I don't always remember to

    I do my best, but I'm easily distracted. I'd appreciate if I didn't have to remember.
