I'm starting to believe that her best build is going to be 4/4/5 or 3/5/5 and that her best use is to funnel purple to another character. She can also use her green to target specific colors (or to pick up stray purple), so long as you aren't looking to use green for another purpose.

Like putting her with KK doesn't make as much sense... using her purple to produce green so that KK can use her bash means that SW's purple and green are both useless.

The same issue arises when trying to fuel Iron Fist's purple attack. You aren't going to use Hexbolt to gather more Purple.

The same issue arises with Squirrel Girl, her Green is going to be tops and her purple is situational.

GSBW might be the best choice of this type... feed her the Purple so that she can make Crit tiles and Green AP? Again,

Blade is interesting... his green is a passive. If you can get a lot of strike tiles in play, getting a bunch of purple attack tiles on the board. Problem will be keeping his attack tiles and strike tiles alive with all that purple popping up.

Loki also has a green passive, but I don't know that overloading his board shake is the best use of SW's purple.

Original Black Widow is an interesting choice... you produce a ton of purple (and likely some extra blue from the appearing CD tile), but she's really only a decent option in this situation when she's boosted IMO.

Mystique could be fun in a 5/3/5. Still need to hunt down the black that you need, but you can use hexbolt to grab those. You'll probably end up with more purple than you need, so you're going to be able to keep recasting shapeshift into masterstroke, as well as keeping one out there for stun and AP steal. Paired with Iron Fist?

Deadpool covers Red/Purple/Black... feeding him to power up Whales faster? Pair with IMHB?

Doom is trouble because you are going to break a lot of his trap tiles, but powering his purple up often might also be worthwhile.

Using powers to funnel other powers isn't useless, especially if it's cheap enough u can get your Professor X/Kamala Khan on

Having used her extensively, I say definitely 5/3/5 cause the upgrade for green is negligible. Her purple is one of the best powers in the game, and getting 14 ap isn't hard to get with her blue going off. Overall the fact people are debating about her build is a testament to her awesomeness!

To everyone saying they want the damage before the stun:

This would technically mean that passive abilities like Anger, Energy Absorption or Raging Tempest should still trigger, since the enemy isn't stunned yet when the damage happens. Be careful what you wish for.

That person isn't being stunned 2/3 of the time anyway, at least with damage then stun you are guaranteed to stun a live person.

The problem resides in the balance factors of the power CLEARLY weigh for a 5 turn stun. Without the 5 turn stun her damage is underwhelming for 14 AP. And since the 5 turn stun is sometimes absorbed by a dead guy, that's bad design.

Nah, green is just not good, and limiting what it destroys actually makes it more predictable and thus more useful. Purple is amazing has won me many games.

Sure. Assuming you go 5 in green you can blow up 4 of any type, but now you essentially destroy the tile you picked plus a random 3 out of 9. But, at level 3 you get limited, say I really need 2 purple and say I'm playing in that insane King pin node where it's yellow all day. Because I can't blow up CD or web tiles, I can remove them from my 9 possible and blow up 2 out of 7 or 3 out of 7 thus increasing chances of getting the color you need. Yes 5 is more powerful, but not necessarily better in all regards

Ah ok, by "limiting" I thought you meant limiting from 4 to 3, not losing the CD destruction component. Nitpick: there are 8 possible tiles you're destroying, not 9, because you wouldn't count the center tile you're already destroying.
  • Also dont forget about the double AP gain from the 4 extra tiles that green destroys.

I assume that this is known, but it is a random tile on the board, not a random blue tile. Not likely to be a huge difference, but it means that it's possible to make a blue match immediately upon being put on the board.

A random regular tile. It's a huge difference. It's gotten me demolition a turn before I'd have it a bunch of times. Both "modes" of the passive are great with fury.

Also the buff to the passive will make this the second best passive in the game easily.

There's about a 6.8% chance of having the blue tile match away right away, and then slowly decreasing odds as the blue onboard depletes. It's a rough simulation because it's somewhat hard to simulate moves afterwards. It's also hard to simulate the probability of matching it away because the first move is the users: they can make smart moves to try to lower the odds of matching the tile.

Sorry, In my excitement over rushed the sim anyways. Have had a flaw in the simulation pointed out to me; turns out it's overestimating the crit probability. It's still over 50%.

So Witch, CMag, and Grey Suit is my goto team for overscaled nodes. It works very, very well for me. However in one match, i had a bad board and Grey Suit and Mag died early against a Rag + 2 villains team. This left just my 1/5/5 Witch and I was sure I was going to lose. I managed to win by Hex Bolting charged green tiles over and over. So i was thinking maybe Witch + Rag + a strike tile generator might be pretty decent. Problem is I cant really think of a good third and I don't have any usable 4*. Could a team comp like that be viable? Has anyone done it?

My go to team has been Deadpool/Cage with SW in pve. Deadpool's whales does more damage than SW purple plus you have the protect tile and a yellow nuke from Cage. I've been able to tear through most nodes with this team except the nodes that are scaled out of control.

She's pretty amazing with any purple user. I was cleaning up with her and Fury, Escape Plan everywhere! Hex Bolt is nice in a pinch too when you need those last couple AP.
