Why is Storm a Divine Champion? 0_o

Unlike the others, she's a mutant, not a god.

I'm also wondering why the tinykitty is Rag up there as well. He's a robot clone, not an actual god.

  • Storm I thought was a Queen or something in her home, or at least I thought her people revered her as a goddess or godlike.
Rag's got godlike powers too so I'd say he fits as much as Storm.
  • Ororo was worshiped as a God in her homeland.
  • cause the dev said so icon_lol.gif
yes, because she is worshipped as goddess of thunder

...i missed classic storm 3 turn win icon_e_sad.gif
  • Pretty much what the guys ealier said, but i dont find it that wrong.

In the end, she was able to lift Mjolnir

Because she married the King of Wakanda, T'Challa (B.P.). In terms of "why is Storm a Divine Champion"... NO CLUE. Prolly to add a lady to the line up who was common yet within reason?

I think Hulk is more qualified to be divine than Storm.
  • She was also a vampire at one point. That girl gets around.
  • It's probably that way to put in a good selection of 1-star and 2-star characters, so that all players have access to the tournament.

She is worshiped as a godess in Wakanda, which is probably enough. I mean, in the Marvel Universe, the Olympian gods and the Norse gods are really no different from any other extradimensional being.

There are also versions of Storm in the multiverse who is treated as an all-out god. X-treme X-men vol2 featured Storm as the All-Mother of a group of mutant-gods.

Did you not see the X-men movies, is there anything more divine than Halle Berry. Really?

    your Wiki link wasn't real:
  • Fwiw, she refers to herself as a goddess in Marvel Heroes.
  • The link is correct, the hyperlink just doesn't include the last bracket.

    Also, from the wikki
For a time, she is worshiped as a rain goddess to an African tribe

I think it happened when her powers first manifested
  • I'm not an avid reader but I can recall a scene during the Civil War storyline where she refers to herself as a goddess. But seriously, it's about playability so keep calm and PvP on.
