Villain/Hero rotation in PvE events

Most new character rewards involve the following events.
PvE Story events
Unstable ISO-8
The Hunt
The Hulk
Thick as Thieves
ISO-8 Brotherhood
Prodigal Sun
Deadpool VS MPQ
Enemy of the State
Meet Rocket & Groot
PvE Non-story events
The Gauntlet
The Simulator
The Non-story events usually have interesting teams. But they almost never get the big rewards.
The Story events have a major problem -- endless grind on the same villains.
Juggernaut, Venom, Yelena, Daken, Bullseye, Ragnarok, Moonstone -- over and over and over.
Each node needs to be done over and over in order to win. Bullseye, Rags, and Moonstone got big health bumps.
Villains not used enough in PvE events:
Doctor Doom, Doctor Octopus, Loki, Magneto, Mystique, Quicksilver, Sentry, Hood
Heroes not used enough in PvE events -- All of them.
It's time to abandon using particular villains on particular node. Perhaps it could be an option in the next Event, when Unstable ISO-8 runs again.
OPTION 1: Nodes primarily Juggernaut, Venom, Yelena, Daken, Bullseye, Moonstone, Maggia, Hammer
OPTION 2: Nodes more like the Simulator. Much larger pool of possible opponents.
Here's what they could be called:
Simulator Unstable ISO-8
Simulator: The Hunt
Simulator: The Hulk
Simulator: Thick as Thieves
Simulator: ISO-8 Brotherhood
That should be easy to implement, and would remove a lot of the grindiness of current events.
We could also use some new PvE events, but those would be harder to implement.

Concept could be Professor X running simulations of different battles we have faced using the Danger Room...
Can look the same but make key swaps... (Colossus --> Juggs for example)...
could definitely be cool..0 -

Yes, exactly. Just something slightly different, so that the PvE events will play out differently, even though the story parts would be identical.0 -
On the Ares node in The Hunt, the blurb before the mission reads something like: "Norman Osborne has recruited Ares... the God of War". I always thought there was supposed to be a 'for 100 iso 8 and some tacos' that comes after it since it seems like it was so easy to recruit the God of War. I mean, he doesn't even have an introduction and he's just there. So why can't additional villians or even have heroes switch sides for cheap too?0

Been a good long while since we've seen new villians. I'd like a complete moratorium on Daken/bullseye/juggy/moonstone/ares/whoever I missed for at least several months.0

Hell, I've been saying this for a while. In Thick as Thieves there is ONE node where you have to face Iron man and Magneto. Turns out they are Skrulls! Such a convenient flavourful way of allowing you to fight against heroes even in villain-themed stories. It is so silly that they never brought them up again.0

Norman made a run for the border, hooked Ares up with fourth meal, and it was on!0 -

I really like that. They just need to combine their idea there with their events.
New PvE Story events
Skrull Unstable ISO-8
Skrull The Hunt
Skrull The Hulk
Skrull Thick as Thieves
Skrull ISO-8 Brotherhood
Skrull Prodigal Sun
Skrull Deadpool VS MPQ
Skrull Enemy of the State
Skrull Meet Rocket & Groot
The story might be stale, but people that have done the events multiple times usually skip the story. 95% of the game is the fights, so these would feel like new events. At least I wouldn't need to fight Bullseye Moonstone Daken a hundred times in a row.0 -
The Skrull Empire approves this !!!
But honestly rotation would be more than welcome. Whenever 'new' pve comes we all know what to expect. It would be nice to be surprised and see something else for a change.0 -
Totally agree with all of this. They rotate the featured/buffed characters the players use each time they re-run a PVE, which makes no sense if you're following the storyline (how does it make sense to play "Deadpool vs MPQ" without Deadpool as a featured charcter, for example). So really they could just sub in different villains with no explanation whatsoever.0

To appease the Marvel Overlords, D3 would probably need to use at least a token sentence or two. Lots of Skrull images with slight color variations would help. Changing a few frames of the story would be fun. But it would otherwise be identical, except for the fights not being Daken, Bullseye, Moonstone, Yelena, Rags, Venom, Juggs.0 -
Bump
This is a good idea!0
