Was there changes made to this event? I just got first in my bracket with only 722 points. Or did I just get lucky?

    Cheers
    You got lucky.
    Very, very, very lucky.

Most of us were looking at 1400+ for T5.

Well, Women of Marvel March is nearly over, so I found myself looking over my roster, and realising I don't have any women in my frontline roster. I then went to Mischiefmaker's character rankings from 12/14, and realised that with 4* Thor's "rebalancing", we don't have any top tier female characters in MPQ (since I suspect TGT is going to drop out of the top ten). The next highest woman is 3* Captain Marvel at #15, who is going to drop a few ranks in the next poll, with the introduction of some stronger players (like Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Cyclops, and the Professor). And the other new female players, in Squirrel Girl and Elektra... well, enough said, really.

So aside from Kamala, who is likely to rank relatively highly, the ironic thing about Women of Marvel March is that it demonstrates that in MPQLand, we're not doing so well on the women in MPQ front at all.

I did an analysis a while back http://www.d3pforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=25429&p=314010&hilit=women#p314010

OBW is arguably the best 2* although she's only a support. For 3*/4* the only viable one is still 4hor and she's mostly outclassed by decent super buffed 3*. If I somehow had access to any fully covered female 3* but lacked the top tier male ones, Gamora is the only one who could carry a team (though I believe she's worse than Punisher who most people don't consider to be top tier). Mystique isn't bad but the nerf hurt her and her purple is pretty bad, Psylocke is fun but needs +50% or so damage on her red and black and She-Hulk has a fantastic red but lacks a usable second and third ability ... Elektra is decent but being a 4* means she's extremely expensive to level and next to impossible to get covers for. For all that effort you'd end up with a character who's probably barely better than Psylocke. So, for PvE I would rank them as:

    1. 4hor is still good but is significantly weaker than she used to be.

    2. GSBW was one of the rare combinations of green + purple user. Her purple is still one of the best AP generators in the game and can be a PvE hero.

    3. IM40 Punisher OBW is a very good hard node team and Gamora can probably fill Punisher's role, though I think she's probably weaker.

    4. Magstique got nerfed fairly hard so he viability has been greatly reduced. She brings a pretty good color palette but her purple isn't great and her blue isn't reliable.

and that's about it. I've been using Psylocke a lot on low level nodes because her black + red are usually enough to down a level 50 and she can save some time. Storm might be viable with Professor X but will more than likely die during the match so its not sustainable. Marvel is bad, Squirrel Girl I haven't played with enough but I think she's underpowered. She-Hulk is decent against goons but LCap/Falcon/a number of other characters are probably better at it. Invis Woman is unusable and Elektra is too expensive for what she does. Kamala will probably end up becoming the second best 3*+ female for PvP and is probably decent for PvE, though GSBW is still probably better for PvE (need to compare purples, I think GSBW has the edge. Her sniper is more expensive but usually generates a lot of cascades).
