My season 10 ten-pack was ALL silver 2*. Not one gold. BUT.... I immediately opened 7 standard tokens after that. And 3 of those were gold.

Just goes to show you, it's all the luck of the draw.

Don't buy packs. Particularly not for actual money. Use your HP on roster spots when you are building your roster and possibly on shields to secure important covers you need to develop your roster. Those are the only thing worth buying.
(I'll admit I have bought rainbow boosts and health packs for HP in the past. I felt dirty afterwards, and it wasn't a particularly good investment.)

I was excited to finally earn my 10-pack too and also only received one 3* (Spidey). I just don't understand why they are so resistant to raising the drop rates. When I only got the 1 Gold cover I was like, "Screw this, might as well take a break until next season." If I actually got some decent covers, I would have been thrilled and be playing way more than I am now since I have several 3* characters leveled in the 60s and 70s.

Oddly enough since then I got a Mystique cover from a standard token and a Rocket and Groot one from the Thick as Theives sub-event token.

I just don't understand why the won't raise the drop rates. It would be more fun for everyone. The top-tier players will still be top-tier. I don't think anything will change that. It seems stupid to me that a game where you ONLY ever play against a computer is made to be so competitive with other players that you NEVER, EVER interact with directly in any way.

i have been getting typically 1 or 2 gold in my 10 packs this last time i got all silver and was bummed out. However, this time i got an amazing pull 4* thor, fury, and IW and 3* Rocket and groot and a dare devil. so just hang in there for your amazing pull it is coming soon.

Edit- I am thinking this could be only for the progression 10-pack, not the ones you can earn from placing high in season, those can remain heroic 10-packs

So the packs you have to work for should be *worse* than the packs you basically get for just showing up?

A bit of a brag post here, but in season 8 I didn't get any gold tokens from my 10 pack but I did get 4 underrated Moonstone covers. So that's something...

i once played MPQ and got a kick in the teeth.

seriously, it was past midnight and i was lying at the foot of the bed, playing on my phone. my sleeping wife rolled over and accidentally kicked me in the teeth

Concerning roster slots I currently have 30. Unfortunately they're full of characters I cannot level up my because the ones I need a rarely offered as rewards, and the covers that I pull from the earned Heroic tokens excetera..(which always only seem to be 2*) I have no need of so I have purchased the packs in an attempt to be able to level up my 3*. To allow me a better chance of defeating the higher level teams to have the chance to earn points. Also it's generally a major let down that when you bust your azz to earn the 10 pack of Heroic reward (that I have to work particularly hard for considering my 2* teams) that I generally only receive Silver Tokens that I don't need. Thus in turn is somewhat discouraging. Therefore at times I'm less inclined to play PVP unless it is the only gameplay available.
I also tend to purchase HP to buy the rainbow boosts; and use ISO for the others, because it allows me more gameplay (take less critical damage) and earn more points since ISO is more readily available than HP and 100 for Rainbow boosts is cheaper than 200 for more Health Packs.
Also of course I too purchase shields.

This is something I can relate to. My wife hits me in her sleep a lot. She says it's "accidental" , but she only does it when I'm playing MPQ in the bed and her aim is way too perfect.

One thing I don't complain about in this game is drop rates. It's a **** shoot. Last season I got 6 gold's in my 10 pack, this season I got 1. I've been getting so lucky with standard tokens too. I get at least a few a week from standards.

This here might be called problem behaviour. If you know boosts and packs aren't a good investment but you keep buying them... That ain't good.
(seriously, try playing without boosts for a while and see if opponent levels go down. If you can't solve the problem by spending more, try solving it by spending less)
