MPQ very slow after TU update

I updated mpq today and the game has been absolutely crawling. I'm on an iPhone 4 with iOS 7.

the screen goes black for about 10 seconds when i shift between screens. it has never happened before

    Hm. I'm on an iPad Mini (non-retina, so same processor as an iPad 2 -- I think that puts it one year newer than iPhone 4), and the game actually seems faster in R58 for me. Load time is shorter, some powers (Espionage, mostly) seem to trigger more quickly...

    Have you tried rebooting your phone to see if performance improves? I have to do this all the time when I play Hearthstone, which is just too effect-heavy for older hardware.

    I'm having a slow down issue on my android based Samsung Note 2, doesnt seem to bad when I get into the game but the loading screen crawls so slowly despite having a solid internet connection.

    Only had this issue since the update.

    Agreed, also very slow suddenly after the last update. Sony Xperia Z. Loading screen not a problem, but in game there keeps being noticeable slowdown very often on matches and anything graphically heavy (which didn't exist at all before the update).
