Private Alliance Questions?

I'm starting a new topic with regards to questions specifically about Private Alliances. I'll start with the first one.

When joining a private alliance (assuming there's an open slot), your application sits in pending yet you can see the alliance position in PvP and PvE tournament as if you were part of that alliance already. I know that when in "pending" you don't reap the benefits of joining the alliance, but does that alliance benefit from the scores that you post?
