Event Tokens

Anyone know what happens to event tokens after a particular event ends? For example, if I earn a couple of heroic tokens for the current "The Hunt" event, but I don't spend them and the event ends, what happens to them? Do they disappear or do they convert over to a regular non-event heroic token? Thanks in advance.

    You have about an hour after the end of the event (see the timer at the top of the Recruit Heroes page) and then they go poof for ever and ever.
