Lagging leads to no rewards

I was playing the regular difficulty Heroic mode "Rescue Mary Jane" mission and it started getting laggy - one turn would end up taking about three minutes. I played through it since I didn't want to wait a few hours for all my heroes to heal back up if I quit. Once I beat it, though, I got the "check your internet connection message." I restarted my phone, checked the mission, which was listed as completed. It said I got a recruit token for my reward, but none are to be found on the appropriate page.

I did not, but it seems to have resolved itself in a weird way: I won a recruit token from another mission and once I used it, the missing token also appeared. No problem remaining on my end, but the delay seems like a bug of some sort.0
