@Magic:PQ Support Team thank you so much for your quick response—I’m sure everyone will be excited to help you celebrate the holiday! 💕

Sigh... why do you play this game @fenelope ?

You're so unhappy about... well... everything about it.

Is there NOTHING they do that is above your snark and negativity?

    Suggestion...

Why not instead invest that precious energy and time in something that meets your high standards and be positive on something?

Or is it true... That haters are only happy hating on others fun?

Why does everyone getting 295 crystals instead of only 4 people winning a poorly thought out lottery somehow ruin this event for you?

I'm sorry, but you don't get the point here. It is not always about people getting rewards. It is not always about a few winners vs every gets something. To me, it is the creativity and the resulting cool event that counts. The rest is a bonus.

    Well Said @Machine .

A contest is fun. And frankly this is something WC has never done before and THAT'S what I'm applauding.

Sometimes in order to make a new omlet... you need to "CRACK AN EGG ON IT"!

And the gold payout, a nice thing for all for sure... but not really warranted in this event.

WC did NOTHING wrong. And paying out gold for this perceived transgression, feels like a concession to a very small minority in the player base, and that feelz bads.

Again, they did nothing wrong, except try something new, and a few (consistent) members of the player base always find a way to dump on it. Which , if i'm the devs, I'd be like... well forget you then l(ol) (Be grateful I'm not the owner... yet. :smirk:

Bottom line, Nothing the team does, warrants praise from certain people, and it just gets old.And I don't want them to think this negativity is the majoarity of the player base, so thank you @Magic:PQ Support Team , for doing this new thing. I personally thought it was REALLY cool.

    Second...

The way the concerns are raised are always so condescending and "holier than thou". As if the person raising the concern is the only smart person in the room.

Gets old being talked down to.

I'm all for raising alarms, and being concerned for the game and it's players. Truly. I am, and as I've mentioned in previous videos and in discord chats, when a GREAT point is raised, even by the Neggies, (phrasing) I'm quick to point it out as valid and a good catch.

But those same concerns can be brought up in a better, more constructive way.

As it is now, it's as appealing as sandpaper on tin foil.

    Grinds my teeth.

That's all I'll say about this matter,

Respectfully, I apologize to you @fenelope for the snide remarks.

    And @Sarah , always a pleasure.

    I remain..

    GOZ

I came to check here after the inbox message. While I don't entirely understand what the (legal) issue is, I only want to vent that I was - for once - very happy with the new idea the devs had. I love the flavor of the event, the event itself and the thrill of having the chance of winning a planeswalker. Makes me think back to the good ol' days where we could win Saheeli Rai. Sure, I participate and hope to be one of the winners, but quite frankly, I don't care if I don't win the grand prize. I had a lot of fun playing the event and enjoyed the devs' creativity. For once, they are trying to do something good and it backfires. Such a shame. Well, for what it's worth, I don't agree with how this community and forum have been "managed" lately, but this idea and corresponding event are well worth a "thank you" from me.

It was definitely a creative event! And people did really like winning PWs in the early days. The difference here is that the old contests were skill based (top 25 scores or whatever) and this one was a raffle/lottery. Slightly different rules/regulations… that’s all. I admit that my tone was snarky but the intent was to prevent any trouble before it was too late. These things are complicated which is why webcore’s legal department should’ve had a chance to look at it before the announcement.

@gozmaster I’m sorry that you felt condescended to and that made you react so poorly. As you say, “ those same concerns can be brought up in a better, more constructive way.”

Because you’re so very good at communicating nicely, can you give me an example of how my concern could’ve been worded differently to avoid making people feel bad for not thinking of the possible consequences? It might help me do better in future!
