Who de-tags old threads from being ‘announcements’?

Just noticing that the announcement section here is getting quite cluttered and could do with some spring cleaning.
Is that a Mod or Dev thing?

    Sometimes they're bad at this but you can actually do it yourself. There's a circle with 3 dots in it next to every post. If something is an Announcement, it'll give you the option to Dismiss it, and it'll turn into a regular post for you.

    This forum software is sorta weird.

    Somewhere (Discord?) sokun recently said they were looking at the forum to be….upgraded? Replaced? Something. In the near-ish future.

    Could have been referring to the somewhat-abandoned MPQ website though.

    Ah, perhaps they’re upgrading it to Unity? 😳

    I'm sure everyone will be shocked to hear that the last time they upgraded the forum it was a huge mess, and we lost a bunch of historical content from the early days that never came back.

    I don't know how many people still care about what it was like in the early days, but I think it's pretty cool that (most of) the history of MPQ has been preserved here.

    I periodically will go through and trim some of the outdated ones off the top as well.

    And yes, forums are going to be migrated soon to Discourse (not Discord). It's a platform IP2 is familiar with on their titles like https://community.gemsofwar.com/ and also one that has a straight forward migration process.

    I'll post an official announcement soon once we lock in the final details.
