It seems to be attached to certain events, rather than some kind of global setting. So they have to decide to ban it from the specific event. I think. When they run old events they seem to have the banned supports enabled, anyway.

That's my thought exactly. So, essentially there's no ban, especially in sim... What en effing joke...

And when the dev asked if we want to have supports in PVP, I remembered voting NO. Guess that voice was too soft to be heard...

Eh, hacking them out of every single event by hand is functionally a ban. My guess is that they couldn't figure out a way to make it a global setting so somebody just did that. It's not surprising given everything else we know about BCS, and we wouldn't even have noticed if somebody managed to do it every time.

So imagine the hundreds of PVP missions, each with 3 nodes.
MoonKnight, Moonstone, Mordo ...
There is probably a close to a thousand nodes that needed updating to exclude the 4 support types.

Unity was supposed to fix this kind of manual nonsense, but, well, we all know how that went.
