This confirms what I asked on the other thread.
We will have THREE PVE running at the same time on Wednesday. One of which is the new release PVE starting. Prepare to sacrifice one of the two currently running for that.
No,
Thank you.
Edit: Spidersilk PVE disappeared. Overlap issue not fixed for Wednesday, but at least it will be only 2 then.
Thank you.

I've updated the other thread as well, but we've instead cancelled the one coming up tonight to keep the schedule light.
We had originally planned to continue with the schedule as normal (which would be the event tonight), but given the extra event began last night, it didn't make sense to keep this one tonight given the additional burden it creates for everyone.0 -

Because it overlaps with the next PVE, just like last week’s issue? I know that can’t be fixed anymore, but can you avoid it going forward? 3 day event followed by 4 day event. Moving out of your time slice isn’t an option for everyone and will always be a worse experience.
Thank you

So, we did get the Lin Lei Crash today as the placement of him in the Taco vault suggested. (OK, two of them, pedantic ones).
He's in the vault as both the first AND second cover for a 4 this week. As I have said previously, the game places the next Crash's character in that second slot.
So basically right now the game seems to be set up to have him be the Crash character for 2 weeks in a row? Iis this intentional or the actual plan?

Wednesday February 11th 12:00 - PVE (New 5-Star Progression Rewards)
Sunday February 15th 12:00 - PVE
It looks like you have a 3-day PVE event starting on Wednesday, then a 4-day PVE event starting on Saturday, followed by another 4-day event starting next Wednesday.
If these PVE events proceed as listed, we'll have overlapping PVE events again on Wednesday of this week, with the current The Hunt event and the new event overlapping by a day.
Avoiding it is easily achieved by doing this: a 3-day PVE event starting on Thursday, then a 3-day PVE event starting on Sunday, and then everything else following the plan that's above.
@TheMigz, is there any good reason why we can't have this simple change to the schedule and avoid this overlap?
Please consider it if at all possible; I'm sure that 99% of players would appreciate it if you guys can make this small adjustment.

99% of players won't even notice the overlap. A fraction of a percentage of players might get upset about it.
I'd prefer to have overlapping events so I get double progression rewards.

Well, clearly we disagree about the impact to players but let's discuss those double progression rewards for a moment.
There will be one more sub-event's worth of progression rewards, which is minimal.
And all the people who play at the same level as you will get roughly the same things from that as you do, so the net benefit to you is zero to near zero.
But back to the impact to players...
It's far better for the long-term health of the game if players (especially the ones who are time constrained and/or the ones who don't read these forums) aren't being randomly surprised by overlapping events and aren't left wondering if they'd be better off spending their time and money on something else instead.
Whenever possible, PVE events shouldn't overlap this way, and it's not good for many players (IMHO, the majority of players) when they do.
On this occasion, it can be avoided via some minor adjustments, so why not make those minor adjustments?

Because I want an extra day of progression rewards, and I don't care about placement or players who feel like they need to get placement in everything?
You don't speak for me and you certainly don't speak for players in general. I'd prefer several overlapping PvEs running at all times, so I could play as much as I'd like. No one is "time constrained" by this game, if you don't have time to play the extra event then don't play it.

Overlapping PvE’s is not the norm. It hasn’t been since the game launched. And unless the Devs come out and say this is a new design decision, I think it is fair to assume this is unintended and they will land on non-overlapping PvEs once things have finally settled down. You might disagree, but Bullroarer has an entirely fair point.

I wouldn't presume to speak for you, especially after you've voiced disagreement with me on this issue.
I have, however, seen comments from dozens of other players on this issue (here, on Discord, on Reddit, on LINE) and everybody else who has said anything about it seems to agree that overlapping events is, to put it mildly, very inconvenient.
Some have, of course, used far more colourful language than that.
So, I think it's fair to say, there's a clear consensus, which is that overlapping events aren't welcome.
Of course, I appreciate that there will be some players who aren't bothered by it, or who, like you, welcome it, but I think it's fair to say that "players in general" want stability and predictability.
The good news for you is that you can make up for the extra day of progression rewards (and placement rewards) in another way: PVP.
If you spent the 25-30 minutes that you'd spend on an extra PVE clearance and grind on PVP instead then you'd easily get back what you've missed out on and more.
If you let me know what PVP slice you play I'll come join you and we can trade wins, if you wish.

I think the verbalised arguments on the social media platforms are weighted in favour of those that don’t want overlapping events, because those are the players that care to check the schedules and speak up about it.
I’ve played every day pretty much since launch, and have never cared to check the schedules, and I’m not bothered if there are overlapping events.
I wouldn’t normally feel the need to speak up about this, but it is tiring being spoken for, and I feel I need to weigh in on the other side of the argument to prove it’s not just EB with that standpoint. It’s basically the same concept as leaving reviews for things. People get angry when something is other than they would like, and feel the need to vocalise it. Those of us that had a good time or are ambivalent wouldn’t bother leaving a review (or posting here).

Don't forget we mostly don't hear from casual players unless something affects their natural rhythm. When DDQ was off-set by 8 hours, it was like the sky had fallen. When the daily quests are now at a different hour this season, also due to issues at start of season, there was an upsurge of previously unheard of players complaining about the disruption of their casual schedule.
I would take both these things as evidence that also less vocal, casual players care about regularity and predictability of events. The two posts about the dual events on Reddit were also posted by less active posters.
There's a variety of players in all kinds of playstyles. With all the issues we have had over the past 7 months, I think many would prefer for the game just to run as smoothly and as normally as ever.
Thank you
