5 star gambit,s black sucks makes Shang chi and MThor useless
My 5 star gambit isn’t covered a lot but his black makes it so I can’t fire anyone’s red or purple but his. That makes my go to team of Shang Chi and MThor useless. Who should I team up with Remy?

Haven't started yet, but I'm looking at juggs fear and aunt may frying pan. Let the match and passive damage go off.

MThor should still do her passive stuff.
Power stone on Shang could bypass the power use thing, but you wouldn't be able to select the tiles.Otherwise... Would need to know what your roster looks like to offer anything of substance.
3 A5 Namor and May work.
Fear juggs is boosted.
1 A5 widow is also boosted with decent blue and yellow.I can't remember who I actually used because I was focused on getting event quests knocked out so I used a lot of different teams to complete those.
But that's all irrelevant without knowing your roster.
If you rely on Shang/MThor you likely don't have the options I mentioned here available to you. And if Shang/MThor can't passively complete the gambit nodes you may have joined the PvE at a level your roster is ready for.
Just some things to think about.
Anyway... If you want advice that means anything you need to provide info on your roster and which scl you joined.

I joined scl 7 which is scl 9. Ya I can still use Mthor's blue and yellow but Shang's abilities are not useable. I was able to complete 3 rounds of gambit. But takes a bit longer without mthor red and shang chi purple

My Gambit is champed, which makes it easier.
I used ascended M'Baku and 3a5 Namor.
Also had a lot of fun with the power stone on Gambit, plus Coulson (refreshmemt cart) and 5* Hawkeye (chimi) for shenanigans.

I use Baku and 3* Namor for that0 -

Isn't 4* Juggs boosted? I'm sure he could help?

It is hilarious that Captain Britain's purple is stronger with Excalibur team mates, has Gambit in the animation and you can't use it if Gambit is in the team. Oops!

Its weird 5 star gambit is the only one who has this **** ability. I will at least try for the gold token
If the devs wanna remove that part of 5 star Gambit in the future it would be greatly appreciated

I researched the power in question, Stacked Deck, and it says in the description "finds an advantage for himself at any cost." At Level 5, he can generate 3 Purple and Red APs after the 2-turn Repeater Countdown tile expires. In essence, Gambit is hogging the APs for himself as both of his powers rely on Purple and Red APs.
Ragin' Cajun and Aces & Eights only costs 11 Purple AP and 7 Red AP respectively. If the Stacked Deck tile is only meant to power up his powers while disabling his teammates' Purple and Red, shouldn't his powers get a revision? Ragin' Cajun's cost should go down, 7 Purple AP.
Aces & Eights should get a full revision. The move destroys two random basic or charged tiles for damage, then creates three charged tiles. If you have less than 11 Red AP, it should cost only 8 Red AP. If you have 11 Red AP or more, you gain the added option of selecting three more tiles for Gambit to also destroy. Whatever tiles you choose to destroy will cost AP. So if you select two Blue tiles and a Black tile, the total cost for Aces & Eights when above 11 Red AP is 8 Red AP, 2 Blue AP and 1 Black AP. If you didn't get the hint, an Ace in Poker is worth 11. Hmm... maybe you can make a mini-Poker game out of this where depending on the tiles destroyed, Gambit produces an effect like creating special tiles, trap tiles, or a special override countdown tile that would bypass the Purple and Red power restriction.
Going back to Stacked Deck, the one thing I've yet to try is Gambit's presence. Normally, when a character is stunned, their active and passive powers are rendered disabled... but we have recently seen a short wave of characters with moves containing the description "This power is always unlocked." Nowhere in Stacked Deck do these words appear in its description. So give this a try:
If Gambit is Stunned, or sent Away by characters like Wong or Kang, do your Purple and Red powers work again?

His power were reworked. Before this even more useless. And yes, if he's stunned, away, airborne or down, others' red purple power will work.

If you weren't around for it, Gambit completely dominated the game for a really long time after he was released, and then he ate a really big nerf. They've buffed his numbers since then but they left the costs basically the same and kept the lockout.
When he was released the lockout was meant to be a downside but he had by far the best red and purple abilities in the game, so nobody really cared. That is not the case anymore, and we have way more efficient AP generators now anyway, so it's pretty pointless.

His initial kit was so broken that ppl just recruit his black only that generates red purple regardless till he's down, and proceed to dominate with other cheap red purple powers (4* spider Gwen). Then he's nerfed to oblivion. But later they reworked his red to something of a nuke, with passive charge tile generation to boot.

That never happened.
At the time, 5* were very rare. Nobody could spare the covers to create a battery-only Gambit, and it would've been a big waste anyway, because he was by far the best character in the game when maxed out.
You're thinking of 3* Gambit, who was launched with the same passive as the 5*, but no lockout. A 3* was much easier to obtain, and recruiting a max Gambit plus an 0/0/5 one to use as a battery wasn't totally crazy. Generally he was paired with 4* Spider-Gwen, for infinite stuns. 3* Gambit was nerfed pretty quickly into his current state.

A long time ago, Gambit used to be hands down the best character in the game. Then they nerfed him into oblivion....

Then they buffed him, and he's actually not bad now. I think alot of people just have had this idea that he's terrible for so long and never actually use him when he's buffed. FA cap and banner hulk suffer from the same stigma.

Oh ya. My bad. But 5* also got issue, just that I wasn't at that stage yet so didn't pay much attention.

It's ok! I realized I came off kinda jerky there and I didn't mean to. Lots of people misremember what happened back then (it was a long time ago!) and I've seen the same thing a bunch before.
