    Wouldn't be MPQ without a spider-verse character😂

He's unusable with the current numbers. Maybe when he's champed he might be a fill in somewhere.

    Am I doing it right?

I have that original ASM run where he became CSM. It was great, especially Spidey punching the Hulk into orbit.

As for this, hard to get excited when it will take years before he is covered enough to be useful.

I complained some because at least Galactus didn't have any obvious use-cases for me (other than being an annoying scarecrow for PVP defense), but I actually really want to use this Spider-man! We finally have an end-game character that we can build a bunch of web-tile teams around, something we've (or at least "I") have sorely been lacking.

If you're not going to speed up PVE rewards, at least add the 6s to PVP rewards, give us an inkling if there will be some sort of favoriting/6* Token and THINK about not making the offers for them such terrible value propositions. The entire cash offer system valuations are wildly offbase when considering the game today. Galactus was your test case and as far as I can tell almost no-one bit.

I think the poor value propositions are to tease the mega-whales into spending vast amounts to get ahead. Then, when the rest of us fall behind anyone who has spent so much, we’ll be keen to chase by the time they open the taps up a bit and present us with more reasonable offers.
Theoretically it seems like a reasonable long-term business plan…
But dammit, a whole bunch of us are super impatient to fully cover a 6 star!
The game economy has been such in recent years that even 5 stars can be covered almost instantly by those with heavy roster progression. It’s the Amazon Prime effect. Now we all expect everything new the next day.

The world hasn’t always worked like this. It’s ok to wait and be excited for things!

From what I've seen a majority of the "cash offers" were previous deals with some extra Galactus shards thrown in. I'm sure they were never intended to be a way to purchase a 6*, just an added incentive to buy what was previously there. Could be wrong though.

I think maybe the Spidey ones are a little newer and fresher. Some of them, anyway.

My gut says they moved timelines up (because they seemingly did based on initial announcement) to get Galactus out asap and early in anniversary (he was an off cycle surprise, remember) to capitalize on what is traditionally a time people spend more.

So as a result the easiest and fastest thing to do was update existing offers with some Galactus shards. I’d bet good money this is the case.

Some comms on their end would be helpful for things like setting expectations and helping maintain some appearance of foresight and more competence around things. Maybe say something similar to what I said - they were excited about Galactus so did the fastest option, and future releases will have newer and more innovative offers.

Currently they look inept and silly in many areas which doesn’t help them convince people to spend money on a product that seems so poorly run.

Yes, I seem to remember Galactus accidentally getting released into the game and then disappearing for a few days before being announced. Perhaps that's why the release was brought forward, if it was.

But wasn't Big-G supposed to have been part of the FF:FS tie-in but got tanked by MPQUnity having so many issues? And if that is true, then it makes the scramble they are doing to jam 2 six stars in before the start of Q1 as more to catch up to the timeline they had envisioned for the slower rollout.

Having the anniversary/holiday season full of the new currencies and offers and vaults to get people rolling into 6 star land was most likely the original plan. Tagging cash offers with bonus shards was just a last minute attempt to "catch up" to where normal play patterns would have had shard levels due to the delayed rollout. (also a way to buoy flagging sales due to the MPQUnity issues)

They are attempting to meet deadlines agreed to before everything fell to shambles. Instead of having 2 Quarters and some change to get out the new product, the release and rollout is all being jammed into Q4 and they are trying their best to land as close to where they proposed to be by start of Q1. They may not have had a choice in the matter and this is the best solution available.

That said, being silent about how the acquisition of six stars is supposed to be once they are in a normal cadence makes cash offers for these first 3 very FOMO sales driven. Being too chatty about future plans hurts immediate sales, but also erodes confidence in the product.

Admittedly I don’t know if G was pushed up to early in the month as a last minute change, or on their planned schedule but generally, of course, they stick to a 2 week schedule. But also last Anniversary we saw at least one off week release. I fully believe they intended to release the first 6 in October as Anniversary is typically a time for new features etc.

I guess it doesn’t matter in the long run, but I would recommend to them that they create novel offers that feel impactful to whales/high 500 players beyond tossing in 25-50 shards for a 6 onto an offer that only the most habitual spenders would buy or someone who has a much less developed offer. Like when they’re offered with some 3s or whatever.

Whether they misspoke at first when saying 6s wouldn’t replace 4s in the release schedule, or meant after they release several quickly, or what. Who knows. As we can see no 4s are coming out in the last 2 months of the year. I’m sure they are hoping that putting out 3 in the last quarter might result in increased revenue as usually Oct and Dec are the biggest spending months lately.

I suspect they need to get 3 6-stars released fairly quickly so you have a 'latest' trio to rotate shard rewards (I would hope once we get 3 of them they will start to show up in PvP rewards too). If they left Galactus as the only one for too long we'd all end up with lopsided 6s.

After that they said something like once a quarter (or 4 a year) for a new 6 star.

The new 6 is .... Squatty Spidey, following on Squatty Sable.

    Puck is not amused.

Lazily slapped 6Spidey over a team selection screen, in which I had puck and sable bracketing 3Blade.

The point was to illustrate the similarities in the proportions in figures in recent art to those of ... Puck.

Didn't bother erasing blade ... or lifting Sable and Puck onto a blank canvas to alongside 6spidey.

So apparently the next 6 is another iron man, seems there's been an almost unbelievable leak of content.
