More importantly, it's not logical to accuse Bucket of wanting to get rid of May because he wants mindlessly easy fights when May is responsible for making many of those fights mindlessly easy. Much like a linebacker might be useless on their own, they can become stronger when working with others. In the same way, May makes others stronger just by showing up. Anyway, your argument makes zero sense. Think it through and consider revising

This is subjective. If you only have 6000 HP, and don't need the shards, the two 4*s, the classic tokens, etc, you shouldn't get it. If you have well over 6000 HP and can reasonably expect to replace it easily, there's no reason to not get it.

Asserting it is a horrible use of HP is wildly overstating the situation.

Disagree. Just because you have the HP and can afford it, still doesn't make it worth it. Basic economics. Being able to afford it and it being a good value (worth it) are two different things. If one can easily afford it, great. Then buy it. It doesn't make it a good use of HP or a good value.

And this right here is a mentality problem with MPQ and why we have such outcry over a Polaris nerf! Building any other character is a useless waste of resources! Everything must always be maximum efficiency highest return on investment! Have you consulted your spreadsheet before doing anything?!?!? I'm obviously joking but I hope you get what I mean (and not saying these things apply to you specifically).

But y'know sometimes we just need to stop and smell the flowers. Ever been to the cinema and bought a bucket of outrageously overpriced popcorn? It was a bad decision but it still felt good. Ever ordered takeaway even though your fridge is full? A waste of money if you think about it but maybe it scratched an itch.

I guess what I am saying is the things we do don't always make sense in the big picture but seemed like the right idea at the time.

All I said is that it is a horrible use of HP. I'm not condemning you, or anyone who buys it, personally. And yes, popcorn at a movie is a horrible use of money. Doesn't mean one shouldn't do it.

You most definitely do not have to apologise, having a difference of opinion is fundamental to living in a free society. I did try and frame my opening comment so I made it clear I wasn't focusing on you personally. I failed to do that for which I can only ask that you believe I have no issues with you as a poster and apologise for anything you may have been upset by.

This community can turn into a hivemind more often than many others, so there's value in having that one jerk around who's questioning all the conventional wisdom.

And sometimes, somebody actually reconsiders the conventional wisdom, and decides that maybe it was wrong.

It's also super important to keep in mind that ultimately we are arguing about a superhero toilet game for babies, not geopolitics or religion or which Jonas Brother is the cutest.

It isn't that big a deal and it isn't worth getting mad about.

If @entrailbucket wanted a Dark Souls like experience, he wouldn't be against May giving Galactus (a character we may never actually legitimately see at full power), a million health. Instead, he'd be asking for a Simulator update with Galactus, May and Blob on the CN.

Also...

1. The game has Mephisto to immediately punish May's health boost. Want him to punish her harder? Boost him!
2. Viper's AOE is supposed to punish May's health boost too. Not enough? Boost her!
3. Crystal and Melinda May drag out fights when you don't one shot their teammates. Are they as problematic as May?
4. Headpool is basically immortal is not 1-shotted or hit with permanent damage. Is he a problem too?

I mean, the actual problem is that she's overpowered on offense (where she doesn't die in one hit because she's a munchkin hiding behind real characters), but nobody wants to acknowledge that "overpowered on offense" is even a thing. I'd also say that a 4* shouldn't be better than 672s, and characters shouldn't ever get worse when you ascend them.

Luckily the devs are addressing "overpowered on offense" now, so what "everybody" thinks no longer matters.

We agree on "not getting worse". But I understand why they did it, since she's harder to kill as a 5.

Now I'm curious though... if they flipped her 4* and 5* kit, you would that be a "fix" you approved of?

Nope, the fix is really really simple (and I bet it's what they intended, but didn't think about enough).

Change her so she buffs characters not based on her tier but on theirs. So she applies the 5* buff to 5* teammates, and the 4* buff to 4* teammates, etc. This keeps her useful for the lower tier players and fixes the munchkin problem.

Honestly all the buffers should work like that. It'd fix the problem of them all getting way worse as 5*.
