What have they done to our dear game?. People I know who are playing MPQ are rage quitting. The mighty Polaris is almost useless now and PVP has gotten unbearably difficult. This once beautiful game is now a cash grab. I've been playing it more than 10 years. Anyone else feel the same?

    It's not our game. It belongs to the developers, and they can do whatever they want to it.

    You get to choose how you react to their changes. If you don't like them, make your voice heard by quitting.

    Remember when you said I needed a break from the game? I feel like you need a break from the forums. I'm seeing a lot of "then quit" or "then take a break" from you. It's okay to let a player vent and NOT respond.

    Eh. I view it as advocating for players' mental health!

    Of course it's ok to vent! But some of this stuff is just way over the top.

    I don't know how many of these sorts of reactions are legitimate and how many are just being dramatic for effect, but if folks are actually experiencing emotional distress over this dumb toilet game, I don't think it's crazy to remind them that it's just superhero candy crush for babies, and it's really not the end of the world.

    Someone privately told me the other day that I was being callous, and diminishing the actual trauma that some players are experiencing over the recent changes, and it's like, man, that is embarrassing. Don't tell people that. Go outside. It's not that serious.

    Why is PvP unbearably difficult? Is this because of all the 1 and 2* covers that rained down on players?

    What?????! She was nerfed so mildly it's barely even noticeable. She still spams hella tiles and hits hard. The only difference I can see when I use her is the lack of first turn damage, but that barely slows her down. She went from OP to still kinda OP, but not as much now.

    After ascending, maybe.
    But a straight up 4* Polaris is now straight up bench warmer.
    I dabbled with her a little bit after the nerf bat and haven't used her since. Not even for DDQ.
    If their goal was to drastically drop her usage, it's gonna work FOR SURE, especially after they also nerf bat GRocket.

    Agreed. They should have applied those changes ONLY to the ascended version of her. I have no idea why they aren't just adjusting 5 and ascended 5 star characters.

    You're probably right though. It's not helping anyone to tell them to quit when they're unhappy, because they can't. MPQ is life itself!

    I don't know about that. This appears to be a major tipping point for a lot of players.
    Facebook often looks bad, but right now the mass exodus over there is quite alarming.

    It's possible. It's been really bad several times before though. We'll see.

    I haven’t ascended my Polaris, and I feel she’s still perfectly fine. She’s just not the same as she used to be (which was broken beyond belief).
    You can’t expect her to perform like she did before, that’s kinda the point isn’t it?
    It shouldn’t be possible to easily take down 5 star teams with a 4 star character.
    I get that you and @KGB are in soft cap land, so might not have as many other good options as those that have champed their 5stars, especially if you’re trying to do SCL 9 or 10.

    Would you consider ending your soft cap regime? How are either of you planning to handle rostering Galactus?

    Not gonna lie, I'm concerned. I've been playing not since the beginning, but close. I remember invisible woman being released. I've loved this game through plenty, I've been frustrated many times. I still stay.

    That being said, it's bad hat to just nerf for no reason. I'm fine with Polaris and Thor being altered, though Thor is noticably weaker than before, even with iron may and frankie. I'm worried about shang chi, because he was probably the last (if not only) character that actually had a puzzle element to him. It's been happening forever, and people have hated it almost forever. I think the only nerfs that were truly needed were gambit and chasm. Otherwise, why don't we focus on making the game better? Or... Crazy thought here... Fix the nonsense that unity brought? Unity has yet to bring anything that the old engine couldn't do. Fix the stuff, make some fun changes or improvements (six stars ain't gonna cut it). Buy back even a sliver of good will, I beg you

    This is going to sound crazy, but hear me out…what if they made getting a character max champed an easier prospect in all but the 6 star tier( I am aware they have done a lot on this already and do appreciate it). Devs could adjust the drop rates maybe (?). People might not feel as bad when they feel their toy has been broken, because they didn’t invest as much. It might also incentivize investing in the new shiny thing because it is easier to do? Making people feel better about this kind of stuff goes a long way if the needs and buffs are frequent.

    I think it's all part of @entrailbucket's game plan for MPQ nirvana - fewer long-term players makes it easier to beat the players who are left and eventually, when everyone else has quit, the top tier pool is going to be so small that it'll be a 1v1 grudge deathmatch where they trade 1000 blows every event in an eternal battle of good vs evil. 🙂
