He's a push over.First thing I discovered is that Polaris start of turn passive doesn't count as your turn so you can double max damage him each turn, once on her passive and then again via powers/tile matching. It means he goes down fast. Bring on the 7 stars

I just ran a match against him with beta ray bill, Polaris and mthor with omnipotence city. Turns out the extra lightning hits from omnipotence city also don't get prevented by his passive
Also, he can trigger the traps omni city makes on his turn for more damage

Scaling to roughly 60 levels above your roster (mine's 360, facing 430). I imagine by Sunday it will be 100 or so levels above.
You can stun all the side nodes so it's easy to do with BrB/Polaris if you get stuck.

You can stun Nova and Surfer?

I was coming to add Omni City, working well with MThor. Ally mate also said Mephisto tiles also trigger on the bosses turn, so that can help too.
I did notice a few times he seemed to heal without firing his blue. I randomly ended up with a 5th turn & he still had 300-1,000 health left a couple of times. That could be due to a rounding issue with his damage cap being % based, though.

I am fully behind making this much harder, there's some jeopardy now but as usual it's done with zero thought.
You cannot win people over making the same rewards much harder when they took no effort before. Condense those rewards so everything they got before they get at 400k or 500k (as a rough estimate) then add more rewards for the increased difficulty. Why is that so hard?
I've not lost a fight or barely lost any health and I'm on R8 level 610+ but to be clear it's because BRB is bypassing the damage against the boss with omni and Polaris is still useful pre nerf.
If it gets to the point lots of people are getting less rewards for much more effort this is only going one way. Increase the effort and increase the rewards.

The idea is probably that, since we’re only fighting one enemy each time instead of three, they’re levelled higher than they would be otherwise. Hope that doesn’t spin completely out of control on further refreshes, though.

You can send the Heralds away with Kang, so I don't really think you can call this hard.

I keep forgetting about that!

To quote the Terran working class, job's finished! Personal progression at least.
We've got a newer player & not sure how his roster comes with the boss event, so I'll keep putting points up next refresh to finish round 8. Still 550 for the top few on my roster, boosted list didn't change that for me. Heralds are currently 602 & 609.

Heralds are between 617 and 625 for me.
I've just used teams I normally use and it's been fairly easily...
Though I did get inspired by a multiple man write up by White bomber in another thread and used MM, Coulson, and Carol (Coulson and Carol 4a5, MM left at 4*) a few times this morning for funsies.

Absolutely. If the new CL10 is going to be at this level (and I hope it is) then the rewards need to be much better than the current CL10 stuff. Otherwise, why would anybody choose to move up?
Hopefully this boss event is just a one-off to demonstrate the new scaling and the new character.

There's nothing tough about this boss fight. It's just painful getting to it and the rewards are....not boss level. It's nice to see they use the same stupid dynamic growth pattern for these boss fights that they do for PvP matchups. First round, lvl 15-23 enemies. Second round, level 525 enemies. Meanwhile Galactus is level 100 and goes down in two rounds.

Feedback:
So it looks like my alliance won’t get close to finishing round 8 but I guess that fits the Devs design. It is a bit jarring as this hasn’t happened for years but none of us have any right to win.
One thing the Devs might wanna address is Galactus heal. For my roster it was no issue as my characters are high enough level to take the setback and carry on but I think this could be devastating for lower rosters who make progress against him only to be setback and then lose. Of course those lower rosters shouldn’t expect to win but a sure fire way to bleed interest is doing the Charlie Brown thing where the ball gets yanked away.

Heralds are level 646-654 and I agree Galactus remains the easiest fight of the event. He takes more turns to beat, due to only taking limited damage per turn, but there's no threat from him and no reason to plan anything special to beat him.
I'm sure he'll be annoying at high levels, but he just doesn't reach those levels here.
Many in my alliance have newer rosters and they are more concerned with Oldie and Nova.
At this point I'm just waiting for the next event.

Kangvell made those herald matches one and done

The shift in start time made the missions refresh right about when I go to bed and when I wake up. No, sir, I don't like it.

Are the heralds supposed to jump to 500+ level in round 3 of this?
My other alliance members are reporting the heralds at level 27.

It's supposed to be tied to roster level somehow, but there seem to be some quirks in the system. Seen people reporting that they stayed at 27~ while their roster is way ahead of that.
