Puzzle Gauntlet - how to deal with Wolverine node

The "Changing the Game" Node features Wolverine, where you have to match friendly strikes to deal damage. Polaris is not allowed and I'm having trouble finding a suitable character to use that can generate enough strike tiles before Wolverine heals and/or one-shots you with his red.

Anybody got any sure-fire ideas?

    Edited: I did it with Wolverine and Low Level AI.

    Find a support that makes strike tiles. Low Level AI can do it.

    Managed with Prowler. Invisibility for when Wolverine has enough AP for activating abilities and Stun when his health is lower to prevent healing.
    I don't believe other character team-ups were allowed.

    I did it with Gamora (4a5) but 4 should work.

    I won with Gamora. Deadly woman still works. But the thing that irk me the most is the 'rule applies for thee but not for me' thing. Why the **** AI can damage my guy through match damage and power but not the other way around??? Double standard indeed...

    I talked with the AI and he would like to know why you can cast the same power more than once a turn.

    That's not in the written condition for that node so it doesn't count. :p

    I used low level Ai with patch and won on my 4th try

    Some good ideas here. Hopefully I'll remember this thread next time this comes around since I beat it today much tougher than it needed to be.
    I won using Ascended wolverine with this strat:

    Bring Polaris stun team-ups
    Keep him away from Red.
    Wait for him to use his green ability.
    Use your own Green.
    Stun with a team up.
    Use 4 turns wisely to get the win.
    Stun again if needed.

    Leapfrog and patch can help as well. I was invisible for most of the match.
