I hope Cosmic Ghost Rider is the first 6-star.

Oh and I forgot to mention this:to close out our anniversary celebrations with one of Marvel’s most infamous big bads whose powers are more than meets the eye.
At last Megatron!!!!!!! Although I hope it's Shockwave, he's my fave!
I support this logical statement

Sounds like the Skull is on his way.Six star characters make me want to throw up in my mouth a little, but at least I have the most resources I've ever had.
It's funny, I've also been anticipating Red Skull since they dropped Zola and Zemo.
In terms of 6-star characters I can easily see the following:
Franklin Richards
Galactus
Infinity Stone Ultron
Cosmic Spider-Man (Captain Universe)
The Beyonder
Gladiator
Some of the Infinity Warp characters
Gambit (Death)1 -

Gotta admit, I'm envisioning a terrible time with 6*. I finally got to a place where I can get all 5s to 13 covers at least, zero at 550. I've been able to continually reload my resources enough to keep this going. But that means also spending my resources as they come. So I have no CP or LT stockpile. I'm worried a new 6* tier will mean I'm back to chasing a new tier. Not quite resetting my progress, but putting me further behind. I haven't felt truly behind in a long time, and I'm not looking forward to getting that feeling back. This is kind of how I'm feeling. I have about 40 550's now. All of the 1a5, almost all 2a5, a few 4a5, and many natural 5's.
I just got to the point where I'm running a pair of boosted 672 every pvp event. Now I'm gonna be chasing the new 6 star tier and the whales will immediately have every character boosted to level 800 or whatever it will be.
This is the way the game has always been, since literally day 1. If you want the very best stuff, you can either chase it forever (and eventually get there!) or buy it. The option to pay for stuff is the great equalizer -- "the whales" are not some secret group determined by Line chats or buy clubs or insider information. Anyone can join that group if they spend money.
Their revenue is down because they got away from this formula for a few years. The top players all went on their little boycott or whatever and absolutely nothing changed. They all continued to dominate. Why would anyone spend money ever, if it didn't help to win?
Now we're getting a brand new tier and (hopefully) something new to buy that directly impacts competitiveness. Players who want to win will pay, because what else will they do? They're never going to quit, and they're used to winning everything.

I'm ok with everything but the nefs. I hate nerfs. Introducing a new 6* character then nerfing characters that can give non-spenders a chance seems rather dumb to me.

I get that, it's still kind of annoying though. It's like reaching the top of Mt. Everest and thinking I've finally reached the highest pinnacle only to find a sign that says "Congratulations, you've now unlocked super Mt. Everest. Go climb that now"

It's what this game has always been though. There's no ending -- you can never win, and you're never done. It's an infinite treadmill, and you have to keep running.

And, in case it's not clear -- this is awful for us! Of course players hate this aspect of the game. All we want (at least, those of us who aren't insane) is to get stability, to get to a point where we can be set up to win stuff forever, where we can stop running on the treadmill all the time.
The problem is that the game IS the treadmill. And we've seen that! A whole bunch of vets figured out how to stop running, and now the game's revenue is way down. They have to give us something to chase again.
