PVP FEATURED CHARACTER

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GIVE US A MAXED OUT FEATURED CHARACTER TO USE!!!!!!
what the **** is the point of giving us a brand new character we can't use at low level who is immediately going to die to a powered up Omega Red?
At least giving us a maxed sunspot for the event would actually let us use him properly, try synergies, see if we want to pull him etc
The whole premise of PVP is absolutely nonsensical. Here have a minimum level character you HAVE to use but will instantly be fodder and die . Literally drives me f****** insane it makes ZERO sense.

Whilst I admire the sentiment, I can't imagine a new-ish player sticking around for 10 mins per round fighting the seed teams as a 550 loaner on both sides fight to the death. I say 10 mins but for some support/ healing characters, it could last forever.
Those players are obviously not facing 672 Omega Reds.

PvP is currently bugged so if you can’t find a seed team maybe just skip a bit?

I don't want to fight against seed teams tho I like having good matches. That's just impossible.
How is it showing off the features of a character when they just chuck in a base level USELESS copy of it?

That base level character is totally not useless at lower levels though. It might even be the best character a player has. You are showing your privilege.

Privilege by having played hours upon hours ober years, toiled and grinded to build up a powerful roster????

I was able to almost immediately champ sun spot because I have Rulk and wolfsbane ascended. There are plenty of other long time players that have him champed.
What is the purpose of being a long term player and having a deep roster if joe noob gets a maxed out 5 star character to use? The perk of all the time spent grinding is that you have an advantage over most other people in the new character events.

Good point. My Sunspot is 65 shards off level 454. I'm not sure what he'll do against the non-seed teams yet, but then I'm actually not sure what he does yet.

Because this is a "featured character" event, presumably to show off the new character. What's the point if he does turn on and then you inevitably have the same variation of teams again and again and again (Jane Lorna, Omega Chasm etc etc etc). It's pointless.
Plus, Joe Noob won't have a roster like you're to compete with

While I appreciate your complaint, I think the better choice for the devs would be to set up a Welcome to Shield for all new characters allowing you to try them out. Not just 4s.

Idk man. I'm zero turning almost every match. My Sunspot is 466. He's absolutely working as intended.

hehe, people have complained about this for YEARS. I'm sure I even posted on this exact same topic.
i.e. New char events have always had **** versions that never provided usable comparison data compared to their fully built out versions.
This in fact was a big part of the appeal to always 550 the new release 5*. experience the new char in a ways thats consistent to how the rest of your roster is played.
Personally, the loaner should be boosted to at welcome to shield levels. let people actually see the powers in context to rest of roster.

If they gave you a maxed out version of the new character for nothing, there'd be no reason to invest resources into the new character.
I agree that they should give us some way to use the new character, to see whether he's worth investing into. They just shouldn't be doing that in a competitive event!

Why wouldn't they have 5* Wts is really beyond me...

So since you guys have him champed, is he good?
