”The Edge is littered with the vestiges of civilizations annihilated by the Eldrazi.”

The Monoists have had their mission in mind for millennia, to create Supervoids out of as many stars as they can reach, no matter the damage, no matter the consequences. It is their sacred mission, their sole reason to exist. The Sunstar Free Company is newer in comparison, but that doesn’t mean their mission is less clear, save as many stars as they can, the Horizon Javelin is their hidden triumph, a gigantic bomb that can reignite a star from an already created Supervoid. Choose your side, destruction and nothingness, or resurrection and nourishment.

Special Rules

Players will use the Planeswalkers offered by the event, not their own.

During the Prepare for Battle Phase, players will face the opposing vanguard warriors.

During The Battle Begins Phase and The Final Conflict Phase, players will be able to change their decks but will only use the selected planeswalker.

The winning side during this specific event will be determined by a weighted average of objectives completed per player for each team.

Can we know upfront which Planeswalker will be used or do we need to wait for the event?

Based on the deck builds it looks like new tezz and eternal wanderer

I also expect Eternal Wanderer, but in Illusion and Flames we got Chandra from new set and Jace from older set, I would expect a black mono color (and if it is Tezzeret I hope that the node is locked to black, otherwise 5 colors vs mono color would be very unfair)

    Hey, everyone!
All of the PWs are exclusive to the event. They are based on cards representing each of the sides:

    Rayblade Trooper
    Syr Vondam, Sunstar Exemplar
    Dawnsire, Sunstar Dreadnought

    and

    Lightless Evangel
    Alpharael, Stonechosen
    Sothera, the Supervoid

This makes no sense at all! In previous iterations, the first phase was a chance to "get to know" the PWs so we could decide which one we wanted to shackle ourselves to for the remainder of the event. How am I supposed to know which side I might want to play if the PW changes each round. It's bad enough that you've made me play 6 fights with decks that I didn't build and now I don't get to try out the PWs before committing to a side? WTH!

@fenelope The plus side is they're giving 4 welcome decks during the challenge phase due to each phase having a new Planeswalker on each side. Way better rewards than if we only got a welcome deck including the cards from the decks we use in the challenge phase and kept using the same planeswalkers. So at least we're well compensated for having a pick a side without testing it out first.

    @Magic:PQ Support Team

Nobody on the Sunstar Free Company side can play their charges in the final phase.

The Monoists side can play their charges.
