Almost Unplayable

This game is just about unplayable now. Between the constant freezing, restarting games in the middle of match and all the complaints documented by users. What were you thinking? Rolling this out in this state and basically making your customers beta testers?
So far, I have seen no positive increase in anything other than my frustration. It has all the old problems and a bunch of new ones.
I have basically stopped playing, checking in occasionally to see if it is been fixed. You took a game that had issues and completely broke it. Mission accomplished!

Had all 3 of these happen within the past 3 days. Seems like the goal of the devs now is to make the game as frustrating as possible nowadays.

What platform / device?
I'm on Android - and beside lagging - and bug in pvp that let you do extra farming - no other problems - no hangs or restarts.

I’m on iPhone and had the same thing in my first two images happen at least once each of the last two days. Already had to restart the game twice today. So glad we got a new engine that makes the game ****.

I'm worried they're not even fixing it. I also still experience multiple crashes and freezes per day on ios. this whole new engine is a pile of garbage. It's like they offshored development of the engine to a sketchy company that doesn't know how to code and now it's back on their plates to maintain it.
I remarked in alliance chat the other day it amazed me how I was able to play through the DDQ without it crashing on me that day.

Yeah, I've never seen this many bugs in the game before. I now have to restart every 10 battles to avoid problems.

Agreed, the amount of crashes and freezes seems non-stop. On my Android tablet, I would have to restart every 7 battles in PVP or every 3 cleared nodes in PVE to avoid them. With the latest build, the crashes increased and got worse! Even basic operations such as opening tokens and rostering covers trigger a crash.

Are they keeping track of what device/OS everyone is playing on? Giving that information would be helpful, although who knows if they're reading here at all.
I have had zero crashes or freezes in the latest build, on Android 16, Pixel 8 Pro.

I've found with the latest build that the first time I load each day takes a LONG time. If I am not on a good WiFi connection it can take minutes sitting at the initial MPQ screen without even starting any of the percentage of loading.
For example today the first time I opened the app I was on cellular waiting to pick up my daughter from school. I tried force closing and restarting 4-5 times and I never got past the initial MPQ screen (it never started the % loading). As soon as I got home and on my WiFi I got the 32% really fast and it loaded up shortly afterwards.
It makes me think that the latest update has a LOT of data to load the initial time you start each day (in my case it would need to load all the rewards from yesterdays PvE event, the daily offers, any daily news and any hot fix or other data). So the game can appear 'frozen' because there is so much data and I suspect the cellular networks are throttling things so it takes a lot longer than you'd expect. Of course since there is no recovery mechanism in MPQ now if anything gets missed the whole app hangs and you have to start again.

Running fine on Steam. If I leave it open for a long time (read: days, a week, longer...), it will be clogged up. The boutique build pre-Unity didn't have that issue. Could leave it open a month and performance was always the same on the clientside.
Seeing as I doubt the app was meant to be left open, not something to complain about. It gets gunked after a day or so, restart, back to fine.
Now, all the formatting and gameplay issues ... yeah, quite a collection. The daily spice of MPQ life.

Latest build is the worst for freezing for me, but probably only twice a day on average. I find freezes less likely to occur after I restart the app, ie. if I forget to restart just before final/opening PVE clears then I quite often freeze during the 20 minutes it takes to complete final and opening clears screwing up my placement, but if I restart just before then I am usually ok.
For the record, I am playing on a brand new ipad, 2025 version just a couple of weeks old.0
