Q&A Session - April to July 2025 (plus note on August's)

Are there plans to further diversify the Platinum tier? Currently there is a significant difference between the experience, collections, and ambitions with regards to team play performance, of players in Platinum. Ideally the highest rank should contain only the most competitive players who want to score a perfect score in each team event.
Answer: Short answer: Yes.
Longer answer: The matchmaking system is one of the big revamps we plan to bring in the long run. However, we are not ready to discuss details or the release window for this change.
Dear Team, Really liking Mana Echoes. Could you please consider adding a release calendar, like Wizards of the Coast does, with regards to upcoming releases?
Answer: We addressed our next release at Mana Echoes Episode 5. As we proceed with this project, we’d like to provide you with more insight into future releases, including not only new sets but also major changes to the game. We don’t have a timeline for that yet, but we are indeed working towards making it happen.
Not so much a question but more a request. As a crown holder in a coalition there are a few quality of life changes I would like to see. One would be that when an event ends and you see the score screen, it would actually show all the individual scores of your coalition (the list you also see when checking your coalition during an event). This can be to all players in a coalition or just the crown.
Answer: We love the idea! We’ve added this to our backlog and explore bringing it to the game at the right time.
Would you consider a way for players to share or gift packs to other players? The thought process here is that with perhaps an ever-growing number of people with packs that they do not need to open themselves (whether from complete sets, or even complete collections), they could have a benefit better than orbs by going out and spreading to the community as a whole. One could think that this might lead at times to less people buying stuff, going with what they can get from already established players, but consider the potential for said established players to not have their packs going to waste. As it is now, if they already have what they can get, then to continue their subscriptions may feel suboptimal, if that makes sense. To give an option to share or gift packs and such gives a social aspect that may harken back to part of what makes MtG have its subtitle as ""the Gathering"", a way where players in more ways can work together.
Also, if Person W has the ability to buy a bundle or complete a set multiple times over while Person F does not have those means themself, you could be making more in the long run if Person W had the option and way to gift past what they solely need to benefit Person F, R, E, S, and H. Yes, it might seem like less people buying stuff, but it -is- more stuff being bought than otherwise."
Answer: We believe allowing people to gift or trade packs is not a solution to the real issue: keeping packs relevant for those who earn them, at the time they are earned. We are designing new systems that will tackle this issue in the near future
Hi team, you experimented with "Epic packs" some time ago, but haven't seen these for quite some time now. Did you stop offering them? Are there any plans to continue them for newer sets? Also, will they rotate, so that sets that have been covered by the "Epic packs" previously will again be available in the future?
Answer: Epic Packs were very well received, so they have become a permanent part of the game. Now they are released about six months after the original set release. Other Epic Packs will make eventual appearances as well, so keep tuned to the Shop.
One thing that stands out about this community is how helpful everyone is. This is a deck building game with a lot of mechanics and different card interactions. As a new player, all of that can be very overwhelming. Can there be some way to share your card collection so that other players can help you build decks? So often, us veterans want to help players put together a deck, but short of screenshotting their entire collection, there's no way to tell what cards they have available for building around. The solution could be web based or in-game. I assume that something web-based would be much easier to implement.
Answer: Sounds like a great idea! We will add this feature to the study we are already conducting about deck-building tools.

@Magic:PQ Support Team Thanks for this (very) delayed Q&A, but why did it take this long? Since you (finally) took time to post this, why didn't you include August questions too?

Would you like to ask about creating a training ground with selected opponents? For example, do I want to practice against Nicol Bolas and choose the right deck to learn the strategy?
Otherwise, you meet him once or twice in the Chaos, and then you don't see him for a week or two.
The fact is that this training ground is suitable for beginners and veterans to learn the mechanics of the cards and understand how the combination with other cards works. Let the training ground not have any rewards or such, just training and free choice with any opponents, such as PvE bosses and any PWalkers.
Other online games always have a training ground. To try out the mechanics and understand how it works.

Hey, @Machine!
We received no questions during August, except one that we could not understand and might be about another game or suffered with translation (if this is the case, we hope it will be submitted again!).
We've added a note on this above, as well as the link for new submissions, since there will not be a new post for August.

Hey, @Tolkne!
That's a cool idea! I'll go ahead and add it to the report for our Game Design team. They love to gather suggestions, impressions, and ideas, be it a whole new feature or tweaks to existing events. Whether, when or how they'll be implemented is never a promise, though, OK?

That's odd, to say the least. I submitted a question via the form, asking what your plans are for rewarding (or not rewarding) teams that manage to score a perfect (with the entire team, so all 20 players) during coalition events. You posted before that "from now on" so after the first team perfect was achieved, future teams would be rewarded in some way. You totally ignored any previous questions from me regarding this topic, that's why I took the official route via the form. I'm assuming you are aware that our team managed to do it a second time without any rewards, heck... not even a shout out. I don't mind if you don't do anything extra, but don't say you are going to do A with condition B is met, and then, when condition B is met, you are not doing A. That's misleading your community.
