    Looks like the PvP TBA event isn't available. Also, Welcome to Shield uses Captain Avalon in missions and not The Maker Mister Fantastic. Luckily, the rewards are still going out for Mister Fantastic.

    Hope they skip the boss event but not the rewards somehow. Most of my alliance has abandoned me since post Unity.

    I honestly dont mind the welcome to shield being the wrong character. Those do every ability 20 times missions suck.

    Requiring…Nova? Who released 2 1/2 weeks ago? Ok sure. You could do the quests and get her even without a feeder but still kinda nuts. She’s not even in tokens.

    Maybe this is a new thing they’ll do and you’ll always need the new 5 for WtS. Or maybe RNG just picked her.

    This is what your Deadpool whale points are for. Put your Quantum Realm on Deadpool for the +5 Purple AP, your Corvus Glaive (R4 needed) on Nova for +3 Purple AP, boost some more purple and you'll only need 1-2 purple matches to drop Whales.

    And he's way worse than Black Widow Batons anyway! The Thanos henchman supports only give 3 AP and the regular free AP supports give 6.

    You should preface that with the need for it being R5. I always mention if a support needs to be above R3.

    The bigger problem would be that, since the character hasn't entered latest, not everyone would have one rostered. Reminds me of the days when one had to have the characters significantly leveled and not just rostered.

    Well she was in her release store so everyone did in fact have a chance to pull for her so I'd say she's fair game especially since she's been a required in PvE so any serious player has definitely pulled for at least 1 cover...

    P.S. I just crushed the Riri/Mockingbird node using a 370 Carnage and a L330 7 cover Frankie in like 8 moves (Frog on Carnage, Lucky on Frankie). Frog didn't matter because the AI never came close to firing a power and I was doing like 30K damage from the attack tiles on turn 3+ so the AI team melted. You can win this easily with Carnage and a 1 cover Frankie because she didn't fire a power either.

    But….Nova was not required in pve yet. The standard thing they do is offer shards for the new 5 while requiring a different 5 (often the last one released before the new one).

    So yes. People could certainly have covers for Nova and many many do. But it’s still unusual and could frustrate some players.

    That said it’s completely their call who’s required and the reward for WtS is mainly Maker shards and tokens. And we got 3 free covers for him.

    I could have sworn we had a PvE with Nova as the required 5E back when she was super charged and a destroyer of worlds. But maybe I'm mistaken.

    To be honest I am sure anyone who's joined the game in the last 5 years is orders of magnitude more frustrated when the required is some dusty old 5 like Green Goblin that they likely have barely ever seen a cover for, might never have seen in a store and if they pulled one in Latest probably didn't roster due to roster slot pressures.

    This is also one of the top 5 easiest WtSs I've ever seen if you have 4 star Carnage.

    This is fair. It’s far from easy to roster every 5. WtS is every 4 weeks so with a rotation of all of them that’s 8.4 years to use every 5 in the game.

    Maybe just making it the most recent one every time hits a sweet spot of “use a character you should roster once you’re into 4 land - the newest 5 - but it’s a little harder to have them as a new character than when they enter Latests”.

    Vs when Green Goblin comes along next, maybe he’d be a 14 year old character or something and the player would be like “how am I supposed to have him again?”.

    It creates an incentive to roster the new 5 sooner than later. Seems ok as I think about it.
