Let us know when it's fixed

Deleted the game from my phone. No point having it if it's unplayable. The game crashing, I thought would be top priority. cant imagine the money being lost. Somebody is definitely getting chewed out. So I'll check back here so often if someone would be so kind to let me know when it's playable again. Thanks

Don’t know what to say. It’s entirely playable for me. iPhone 14, 256GB, iOS 18.5.
Lots of annoying bugs and cosmetic errors leaves me very frustrated. I hate the slow scrolling speed with a vengeance. But no crashes at all, battery isn’t draining fast anymore, and daily clears go quick enough for me to enjoy the game still.
Not a good sign that the experience differs so widely among different players.

I swear dude. If it was just what you're dealing with, I could handle and would love for that to be my problem. Halfway into a match or right and the end it crashes and you don't get credit but you lose health and other bonus items you bought to help in match. It's ridiculous. The longest I've been able to play without a crash is 1 and a half matches

I don’t know what phone you have but the game obviously upped the requirements for specs so you might be out of luck without a new phone. Hard to know from this end.
Android is much more hands-on, code wise, handling data and memory and things from my understanding so I think in general they are more prone to crashes.

I'm on Android and I think it's only ever crashed once for me. That was right after I declared it had never crashed... 😆

I have to play on chrome book right now which is not convenient. The issues mentioned here are real - if these devices are still supported then up to the Devs to provide a playable experience or otherwise de-list devices. Waiting on next update.

I should have been more specific. I think a lot more Android users are experiencing crashes than iOS users because iOS is better at handling memory issues. The devices usually have less ram because it’s not as needed as on Android. So if the devs are having issues with assets loading etc they’d be more noticeable for Android users especially if their devices are older or not as high performance.
Also it may be that iOS is more stable or less demanding with requiring connection to servers.

I had a quick Google of your device, because I was confused at the Pro Max description being on Android rather than apple.
I hate to break it to you but it could be that the device isn’t all it claims to be, and isn’t able to keep up with the requirements of the game now that it’s on Unity.
Take a look at the following review/analysis of your phone model;
https://www.coburnsdomain.com/2024/05/2024-i15-pro-max-android-smartphone-review-its-****/Might be that you should switch to a different device if you have any available? Tablet? PC and ask CS to port your account across to steam?
Edit: If you don’t want to read the whole thing this bit seems especially pertinent to your problems:
“Graphics Processor
Another glaring flaw is the GPU: a Mali T720. Refer to the above screenshots in the “Processor” section.
The Mali T720 is a “Midguard”-codenamed graphics processor from 2014-2015. According to Notebook Check, it is best suited for small phones as power consumption is rather low.
The GPU supports OpenGL ES 3.1 and is clocked at 600Mhz. Unfortunately, I don’t see this playing any modern high-end mobile games comfortably.”

I hate to break it to you snipThis is more of an indictment against unity and the developers for not being able to optimize their game.
Because, well nothing new or different is happening. This is burning up top end iPhones and discharging batteries roughly 4 times faster.
The developers most likely knew this was going to be an issue, were essentially radio silent, AND didn't say anything after the new engine launch. The best way to alienate customers from your videogame is to make sure they can't play it.

Wow, I do not envy anybody trying to develop for Android. PC game development is bad enough, having to support so many different configurations and types of hardware, but at least PCs aren't allowed to lie to applications about their specs (are they? Maybe they are!). How do you even handle something like this as a developer?

I asked a question about this to IceIX when he was doing his state of the union thing and taking questions a couple weeks back. He answered but the answer didn't say anything concrete.
The sooner they post minimum specs the better. Some optimization will be possible once they get the bugs out but at this point I am not expecting miracles. Many people will need to upgrade their phone/tablet to be able to have a smooth playing experience (or accept choppiness or quit altogether). My own 2019 S9+ phone is probably border line so I'm one of the people who'd really like to know whether I should be planning an upgrade because my PvE playtime is up by easily 1/3rd.

What's different here is that this phone is misrepresenting its specs. If you built your PC, you can at least be reasonably confident that everything is what it says it is. This device might actually meet the minimum spec on paper, but in reality it's much worse than that.

True. But there are benchmark suites you can download and test your phone/tablet. So if the Devs say you need 4 gigs of RAM and a GPU score of X and a CPU score of Y you can google to see if your phone has already been benchmarked or download the suite and run and see what number you get.
If you meet it you're good, if not you need a new device.
