Auto loading characters

I try to leave slots open to get characters I want. Is there anyway we can leave them open and decide when we want to fill the slot? I hate having to delete those auto files only to lose that cover.

    The game will automatically roster a new to you character (not rostered) if you have slots open. Depending on your roster you could fill the slots you want to keep open with covers for 1*s maybe, then sell them when you want it for some other character. Or maybe other characters you don’t care to keep.

    There’s no way around this unfortunately. I’m sure there’s some aspect of monetization this helps but you can’t leave open slots while not having every character rostered.
