Dont know if anyone's reported this, trying to swap supports. I like having 10x of each support, but i can't use them.

It's been reported.

I am no programmer, but this truly seems like the previous code was written by someone that wanted job security and put in pitfalls in every aspect of the code.

Or they just kept looking to tack new things that no one anticipated into old code for a game that most people expected to last for like 3 years tops.
“So wait, what do you want to do? I mean….I think I can do that? As long as no one ever tries to copy all this mess and run it in some new engine or something.”
- a thing a Demiurge programmer probably said

So this week in what's broken in the lightning rounds...both sets of boosted 3* characters are live.

Im on android also. I have the correct boost week characters available on my roster, but I keep queuing up a couple teams running a boosted 3* Magneto.
Haven't run into it on the Iron Man LR but it happened a handful of times in the first(Gamora) LR.

Just a daily report from a STEAM player.
1) PVE rewards were good. Seems like PVP-only rewards display wrong
2) Didn't get the missions for July 4th that other mobile players got.
3) still nothing on 5Elsa rewards0 -
I honestly feel bad for all the STEAM players. This never should have been released in the wild.

No Elsa feeding (still).
No Independence Day vault.
No Independence Day quests.
Starting to seem like The New Engine is aborted / dead end.

They did not test it at all. It should never have been implanted

It was tested; player beta went on for about 2 months in various stages. Issues it went live with were identified. But obviously (to me) BCS' hands were tied by the owners wanting it live for various reasons (since they declared in their financial report that it would go live in 2nd quarter).
To be fair, things have improved a bit with many of the glaring issues being addressed on an ongoing basis and it is headed in the right direction, but any new thing seems to be hit and miss as far as Unity implementation.
A reasonable conclusion would be that the devs do not have enough people on staff to manage a staged rollout without many issues, especially when not all the bugs were ironed out.
Right now they have to manage the following builds:
Steam Unity
Kindle live beta (ok, there are probably no players in a Kindle live beta, from my observation)
Kindle live (old engine)
iOS Unity live beta
iOS live (old engine)
Android Unity live beta
Android live (old engine)In each of those groups are live players using their established accounts who are expecting the game to work right and reasonably getting upset when they are not on parity with the rest of the players.
It's a lot to handle especially if they have no more staff than before, although they may have brought in more subcontractors.
Anyway it's impossible to argue with your second point that it should not have been implemented as it was. They spent a year building hype (although eventually it was brought down to "it'll be the same and you won't notice any immediate difference in the game) and now they have made the majority of players who are aware of Unity dreading it coming to their platforms.

Can you clarify this? Are you saying things have improved from the steam beta unity testing, and issues from beta were fixed before rollout or things have only improved/fixed since the rollout of steam Unity on live system.
To me some of this should have been caught in Beta and it makes the Beta testers unreliable testers...and should not be brought back for future testing.

I do not think I should give too many details but I assure you, the issues around the Unity launch are not the fault of the players who are/were doing beta testing.

Update: haven't seen 3* Mags since my initial post over 24 hours ago. Tbh, I'm not even sure I seen what I saw anymore. So good news, something isn't broken.

Beta testers are just players who agreed to be "guinea pigs", they are NOT in charge of the solutions
