Crystallize no longer works as written

Playing Colors of Magic today I notice I am no longer able to to Crystallize my own supports, only Greg's supports

And, yknow, I grok it... you're probably thinking... why would you want to kill your own stuff? Surely you only want to kill Greg's stuff!

But that's not how Crystallize is written. The text hint reads 'Convert target support's gem to a Crystallized gem', and not 'Convert target support's gem to an opponent's Crystallized gem'

I do strategically destroy my own supports occasionally; especially token supports, which might have been generated for the fraction of a cost of an entire card (or even for free, such as in the Plague Control event!), with the resulting Crystallized gem instantly creating me a match and mana.

The chances of accidentally blowing up your own support seem low, don't they? Since you must click on and confirm the support that you wish to Crystallize.

I much prefer the old version that gave me more strategic choice, But if you do want to limit the player's options, at least change the rules so that they accurately describe the new behaviour.

Oh, and I notice today that Crystallise no longer works on Vanguards! The text hint says specifically that 'This effect can affect Vanguard supports'
