Please DO NOT update to R324 if you are playing MPQ on an Amazon Kindle. The version was originally intended for our internal Unity testing, but was accidentally pushed live and will not be pointing to your live server save, so you will not be able to progress as normal. Your live save, however, will not be affected. We are currently investigating a fix and will post another update as soon as we get a confirmation on the solution.

Updated: 05/02

We've identified a fix for the Amazon Kindle early deployment of version R324 and is currently being worked on. This fix will be part of an R325 release for all platforms coming soon.

We know this issue has meant lost playtime for our players and will announce some type of compensation to impacted players once we get close to releasing the fix.

Meanwhile, if you're affected by this problem and have a PC Steam or mobile device that you'd like to link your Amazon account to, please reach out to our CS team and they'll be able to link your account to be accessible on those platforms while a fix is in the works.

Updated: 05/14

We're in the final QA steps of testing R325 across all Amazon Kindle, iOS, Android, and PC Steam platforms. This release is not a Unity build, but instead prioritizes fixing the Amazon Kindle build to the non-Unity version allowing players to have access to their live accounts.

After R325 gets released, we'll be assessing the full impact of this delay on affected players and issuing some form of compensation at a future date.

What do I do if I opened it not knowing about this and now my account is gone? How do I restore it?

Please keep us updated - my spouse also updated and is now stuck in the start up phase without access to her regular save.

Gotta wait until Monday according to the DM I got from Sokun. Hamsters don't work on the weekend.

I do not own a different device on which I can play this game. Nor do I think I should have to. There is nothing I can do but wait and hope that this **** up will be fixed. If it isn't, well, so long, my long loved game. I will be sad to see you go.

I am not even impacted by this, but these guys really need to adopt the no deployment on a Friday mantra. Yes, it was an accident, another accident, but it still shows that they were pushing their beta release on a Friday, so unless they only had plans to support their beta testing over the weekend and not the Production system, it was still poorly planned.

All very well saying don't update, but mine auto updated, lucky for me I play on amazon (mainly at home) with android phone when out + about and as back up because it is really too small to read even with my super-specs!

Some advice / suggests for multi device players from Devs would be great particularly when the switch over to unity begins.

A daily update would be nice so I have an idea when problem might be fixed and what to do

I agree about the daily update...I do not have another device besides a 2nd Kindle and, after playing daily for 3200+ days, I think that's a reasonable request. MPQ has always auto updated on my Kindle so there was no way to avoid updating the game and I think the longer this goes on the more people won't bother to come back, even with the new engine incoming.

I agree with all of this. The icon wasn't even changed when I opened it - it wasn't until after it fully loaded that I realized something wonky was going on, and the new icon was there when I closed it.

I remember the one week the game was bonked for iOS players due to a similar bug and I remember the jokes, mostly coming from Kindle players…
well, not so funny anymore, right?

I don't remember this, nor would I have ever laughed at someone suffering such a scenario. It wasn't funny then (whenever it was) and it ain't any funnier now.

I remember pretty well the whole thread with comments like „Look, they put iOS in a vault“, „New parental control is live“ or „Jobs didn’t pay the bills“

Further I never said I would find it funny, I actually Hope for the players having trouble that it gets solved quick and not in a week +, I only asked the fellas from back then if they still find it funny…

There was also an extended period of time when some Android users couldn’t play.

I guess I’d also say that the community has matured and a lot of the trash talking mocking has kind of left, either players have quit or they’ve settled down some.

I’m not sure when the iOS outage happened but I’m on iOS and don’t remember it. I started in like fall 2015.

That's an exceptional amount of time to hold a grudge. You might want to read your first post back and see how it might come across. I don't recall the thread or the issue but I doubt that anyone making those comments is still on this forum. If they were I'd hope they'd be a fair bit older and more mature.

I was affected by the Samsung glitch a few years ago and it was tough for a lot of players who couldn't contact their alliance, lost season placement etc. I don't remember anyone being smug or nasty about it. At least until the compensation arrived...

Everyone has their flaw, mine is that I might hold onto grudges too long

For those who weren‘t involed back then, I am sorry
For those that were involved, still are around and might have the issue, I am not
They know who I mean and they know what they did

OK I'm legitimately sorry for saying this, but saying THEY KNOW WHAT THEY DID in the context of a this game is hilarious.

Looking back at the things happening around „Shardsgate“ back then, you might actually have a Point there, I have to admit….
