PVP progression hero points

I see the hp progression award in pvp events has been moved up to 900 points. Is that really necessary? Lower level players can work hard and with a little luck hit the 500 point level for the sweet reward of a few hero points, but I doubt many people ever get the 900 points now required.
I understand that squeezing people to buy hero points for cash is probably your aim, it just makes me sad.

    I don't think I've ever broken 700 points in PvP even. This change just comes across as mean and petty. I don't see any gameplay-enhancing reason for it.

    Aaaaa--nd this is where PvP events go back onto my banned list.

    I'll take ridiculous scaling over being smacked down the progression ladder without a sense of reward any time of the day.
