I am currently on my third and final retirement. It has been two years since I played MPQ. Once in awhile I will stop-by the forums, but honestly the new characters’ abilities are challenging to read nowadays! Yesterday, a former alliance member messaged me to go on the forums and to my surprise 6* characters! I was even more surprised to read that 5*s were released 10-years ago. That sounds insane.. and I immediately had some ideas for a “Meeting” post. Unlike the previous ones that heavily involved the news surrounding MPQ, I have little idea what has been happening in the game outside of a few newer posts. Therefore, this one will be a bit different by utilizing current events in the overall gaming world. I hope everyone enjoys it and Happy Anniversary MPQ!

For those that do not know or do not recall what these “Meeting” posts are, they are satire stories within the imaginary world of MPQ. Here is a link to the previous Saga:

Looking back at the last one I do find it amusing how I used Spaceballs quotes and it’s getting a sequel! Plus, I highlighted a huge return of Gambit, whom eventually appeared in the recent Deadpool movie haha.

The events depicted in this forum post are fictitious. These events are loosely based on the forum’s perception of the game and are for entertainment purposes only. The stories are not true and the characters that represent the Developers or any other person that works on MPQ are not the real people.     Director: Good Morning everyone. I would like an update on the soon-to-come Anniversary
    CFO: I have even more exciting news. I am happy to announce we have sold the company!
    ::Everyone is surprised and shocked!::
    Director: What do you mean you sold the company???
    CFO: Why do you think we keep pushing more characters, more sales, more purchases? So we can increase the value and sell! I am richhhh biii****! See ya!
    ::CFO hops in a limo with 3 baddies, popping bottles and playing Cardio B “WAP”::
    Director: What just happened…
    Human Resources: Sir, someone is here saying they’re the new owner. What is going on?
    Director: Let them in! Let them in!
    Human Resources: Sigh.. HR is always the last to know..
    ::A man slowly enters the room::
    Developer 1: WHAT! It can’t be.. you’re Phi….
    New Owner: Just call me Mr. Spencer
    Marketing: Did we just get acquired by X-Box?
    New Owner: I am very excited to add your company to our ever-growing portfolio of major gaming studios!
    Developer 2: Um.. didn’t you just close several studios this year?
    New Owner: Relax, guy! We did some restructuring to give us the opportunity to acquire your company. This will be a new beginning! A lot of place it could go!
    Director: In what way?
    New Owner: Well starting tomorrow, MPQ will be available free on GamePass!
    Marketing: The game is already free…
    New Owner: Yes, but now there will be more value! Also, starting tomorrow we are raising the cost of MPQ’s monthly VIP to $29.99
    Director: I love money, but are you crazy?
    New Owner: Hey! Relax, guy! Look it’s not about the cost, it’s about the value. Look at the extra content the players will receive ::points to a PowerPoint slide::
    Developer 1: Uh.. it shows rewards for Marvel SNAP, Contest of Champions, Future Fight.. these aren’t our games. Most of our players have no use for these other games.
    New Owner: Again, it’s about the value. I think the reception will be excellent ::kicks Marketing under the table::
    Marketing: Oww.. I mean.. uh yes. We’ll uh.. start promoting right away
    New Owner: Also, I want to introduce the new CEO!

    I mean, you could have a reveal of who the CEO really is.

    Edit actually I just realized both the CEO and the New Owner says relax guy lol.

    Haha I did. New Owner is Phil Spencer, CEO at Xbox. New CEO is Bobby Kotick, former CEO of Activision. There's some ridiculous **** going on at Xbox that I used for this episode.

    They say "relax guy" as a play on the recent South Park episodes with Trump

    I am glad I made this as quick as I did since they made a Galactus post... Or maybe the Meeting post caused them to hurry up...
