Stolen Spree cards don't give Spree emblem

I stole a Spree card from my opponent but it was unplayable as I never got the Spree emblem. I think this is because the Spree card has to be in your starting deck, so therefore needs a fix.
Edit: Thanks to Xibvert for pointing out the definition of Spree - "Spree is a numbered Emblem that a Planeswalker will have while a Spree card is in the deck."
My view is if you can steal the card then you should be able to play it.

    I found the same challenge in the Roll Reversal event. You opponent fills their deck with spree cards and unless you have a spree card in yours they aren't playable. I agree it is counter intuitive for it to require you to have a card with that mechanic in your deck to be able to play it if added to your hand.
