Goldvein hydra leveling issue

Goldvein Hydra level count is not updating the level of one on the battlefield when cast. I.e. one Goldvein Hydra was put on the battlefield with only 1 level. One Goldvein Hydra was held in hand to level up to 10 before being cast. After casting, Goldvein Hydra is still level 1. The level was not replaced with 10 as it should have.

Edit: I noticed in more gameplay that Goldvein is only having this issue when it was fetched put directly onto the battlefield, i.e.: via Blossoming Tortoise. I did cast two Goldveins from my hand when no copies of that creature were on the battlefield, and they correctly applied the levels.
