Dev's please no more Spider-verse characters for new characters for a while

    Mayday seems to be a very popular character among people who actually read comics from the last 20 or 30 years.

    For X-Men 97 we got Shaw, Multiple Man, and 2 Jubilees. I think that's probably enough?

    Ironically I want a Spider-Man related character but it's Shriek. She never gets enough love.

    While I don't know these characters, I'm always happy with Spider-Verse when they're good — often, they're not. I'd love 5* Spider-Man rebalances (Peter Parker and Back in Black). Electro was a welcome addition, and I'd love more Spider-Man villain variants in the mix.

    I would legit welcome a 5* Madame Web. Yes I know we just had the best movie ever with Dakota Johnson, but that aside (or maybe because of it) Madame Web would be a nice support addition to the game. As long as it's the original, comic book-accurate version of the elderly, blind, disabled Cassandra Webb, and not Dakota Johnson.

    Also, shout out for Scarlet Spider, Cosmic Spiderman, Man-Spider, Spiderman Noir, Old Man Peter Parker, Toxin.

    Bah! We've barely scratched the surface of X-Men 97 characters. I won't be happy until we have Adversary, Motendo Jubilee,the Genosha girl that turns into a parrot, and the mist transforming Dr Amelia. Without them, could this really be called a Marvel game?

    Don't think Multiple Man was from X-men 97 and didn't Shaw win the popular vote? I would have liked Bastion/Nimrod.

    As for Mayday, which is of course a ridiculous name, I think she would have made a better 4* but we get what we get.

    If we are doing more Spidey then we might as well have this guy (and that version of Cap too) even if only as costumes would be cool. Earth X also has the only version of Venom I like which is when it is bonded to Mayday:

    Master Mold would make a great boss fight. Nimrod could have an adaptability power where he could reduce damage after somebody uses a power once or remove status effects or special tiles, shut down passives etc. I always dug his design in the comic books too.

    I don't mind being introduced to characters I don't know. Sure, there are a lot of Spider-Man related characters but he and his universe definitely bring in a lot of fans so I'm all for it.

    I might be missing the connection, how does clonenolc relate to the new characters? Are they clones?

    The 3 star is a clone of the 5 star with a symbiote.

    Mayhem (April Parker) is a clone of Spider Girl (May Parker) because every single version of a Spider hero must of course have a clone much like every version of Batman must be a repressed sociopath with butler issues.

    I didn't even want to jump into this thread, but now it is unavoidable.

    Symbiote summer followed by Spiderman spring.
    I get it Spiderman is one of the most popular characters in the Marvel franchise, but this seems to be getting ridiculous now.

    Next up baby spiderman and baby venom i guess.

    In all seriousness, Marvel used to poke fun at DC for all their various iterations of Superman and how unoriginal it all was. I guess not any more...

    Aunt May definitely belongs to the Spider Verse characters and she has little to no relevance outside of it so yeah, I think she counts probably in the same way Edwin Jarvis is tied to The Avengers despite not being one himself.
